TorinK29
Over the past few months when I was looking at my plethora of soccer jerseys, I started to notice somethings hidden elements that you couldn't see when the jersey was being worn. The most interesting I thought was writing inside of the crests. For example, Australia has "Never say Never" and PSV Eindhoven has "eendracht maakt macht" or unity is strength. It's not limited to soccer though as there are obvious ones in hockey like the flags inside the Hurricanes sweater and the Keyboard inside the Predators sweater.I was wondering if anyone else found this interesting and if they know or have found out any of these hidden elements. DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT HOCKEY
drdougfresh
My Dutch jersey has this inside the shirt behind the crest: I think Nike did this with a lot of their teams, not sure if its just for replicas or what.
Kevin W.
The Rangers' third sweater has all of the team's retired numbers sewn on the inside of the back. Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions) King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

joechicago
Most pointless uniform elements ever. What's the point of putting something somewhere where no one can see it?I think it's an interesting use of what is otherwise dead space. It's also a check against the laziest (which is probably most) of counterfeiting. hockey week
I've heard that Penn State used to have the Nittany Lion logo stitched onto the blue jerseys in blue thread and the white jerseys in white thread, but I've never seen any photos of that. I'll respect any opinion that you can defend.

FiddySicks
I got a Liverpool jersey at Ross for really cheap a few years back and it has This Is Anfield stitched into the collar. Bayne
I like the little easter eggs. It's a little something for the fans, that's all. You want this stuff on the outside of the jersey? Hell no. But it's a nice inclusion. I'm Danny fkn Heatley, I play for myself. That's what fkn all stars do.

It was around the same time that Michigan had a large blue M sewn in on the home jersey as well. However I don't remember there being a Nittany Lions patch on them but I can only speak for the replicas.

For example, Australia has "Never say Never" and PSV Eindhoven has "eendracht maakt macht" or unity is strength.Quite a few Nike shirts from this period had similar text and/or images here, I have an Inter away shirt with 'Nerazzurri' on the back of the crest. Nike's marketing gumpf went on about putting the identity of the club next to the heart of the supporter, or some such nonsense.Meanwhile, there's a little feature tucked away on the current Brazil shirt - many of Nike's current range feature a series of circular ventilation holes along the side, but on the Brazil shirt the top row are cut as five stars, a nod to the team's five World Cup wins...Luckily England didn't go along with this idea - our shirts wouldn't be well ventilated with just a single air hole in each of Rooney's sweaty pits. Heh.
