Reid is done for the game. I think it's Craig Dahl's turn at safety to SF. Yay![/sarc]

You know what? The Rams have really shown a lot of promise, IMO. Going into Atlanta down three scores in the second half and then coming back to score on three consecutive drives, shows we do have a lot of talent. If Bradford hadn't thrown that pick six, we may have won the game. While we did ultimately lose, I take a lot of positives away from this. Winning never comes easy in Atlanta.

Homer talk.

No, I'm actually quite critical of my team, thankyouverymuch. Tell me, what are you, a Patriots "fan"? Packers "fan"? A "fan" of some winning team? You just let me have my positive outlook here and keep your opinions to yourself. I've been a loyal Rams fan for over 13 years, so I don't need to take any crap from anyone. I liked what I saw on the field today towards the second half of the game. So please, kindly go away.

It's easy to score when the defense isn't trying, look at the Redskins today.

Although I do love it when others call out people for being bandwagons.

Son, if you think Atlanta's defense wasn't trying in the second half, well, you're an idiot. And a hypocrite.

You just love to pick fights with me don't you?

Only when you start them.

Aldon Smith taking a page from Tampa Bay's playbook, commits a personal foul to bail out the Seahawks, and now Seattle's beginning to fly away with a 19-3 fourth quarter lead.

That Seahawks defense. What a stout machine, and it's even better with Bennett and Avril added to it. Now they have a pass rush that makes their NFL-best secondary all the better. Spectacular unit.

Yeah, this Seahawks team is impressive. That D is a thing to behold, and they sure do have the Niners number.

Peyton tops Eli AGAIN in the Manning Bowl -- which has me wondering "How does Eli have more rings than Peyton??"

Because football is a team sport.

It's not like Peyton's Colts were this mediocre team and just decided to catch fire one year. Since Eli entered the league in 2004, the Colts made the playoffs much more often than the Giants, and had far better teams during the regular season. With all the division titles and dozen-win seasons in Indy, it truly baffles me how Peyton was only able to get the Colts into one Super Bowl. Thank goodness he beat the Bears that year, or else he'd be getting the Dan Marino treatment year in and year out.

That was a pathetic performance by the Cowboys today, offensively speaking. To the Chiefs credit, their defense played a good game. Forcing Romo to make bad throws/decisions. I thought on the opening 3rd quarter drive decided the game. The Cowboys couldn't punch it in, and subquently, lost by less than 4 points. Same old Dallas. We played a good game defensively. Containing Charles and getting pressure on Smith, plus keeping them to only 17 points should have been good enough to win.

If we want to be anything other than a mediocre team, we have to be able to run the ball effectively (meaning you can pick up first downs on 3rd down and solid redzone running) and have the ability to score TD's instead of FG's in the redzone.

Mediocre teams score FG's in the redzone, good teams score TD's. The Cowboys are an average team and will be until they correct those glaring weaknesses.

Fire in a bottle, and level of competition.

The 2003 and 2004 Colts teams were really good, but the Patriots were better and had the home field. 2005 was an inexplicable chokejob. Ditto 2007, although New England probably beats them in the AFC Championship anyway. Besides, that year and 2008 were just ultimate Chargers matchup nightmares (2008 Chargers were only 8-8, but that might've been the most underachieving regular season team in recent memory; their 2007 and 2009 results bear this out).

Meanwhile, looking over at Eli's side, they just really found their stroke when they needed it most. In 2007, the Week 17 New England game where they nearly beat the 15-0 Patriots catapulted their momentum, and they never let go. In 2011, they were 7-7, and then the 99 yard Victor Cruz touchdown against the Jets served as the catalyst for righting that ship. It was pretty remarkable.

The Legion of Boom is for real

Love that nickname.

I had my doubts going into the game, but this drubbing of Frisco has me a believer in the Seahawks.

I'm still not buying them. They're great at home but they struggle too much on the road. I still think the 49ers take that division and Seattle has to beat somebody on the road in the playoffs.

Going back to the end of 2012, the Seahawks have won four of their past five road games. They've won games at Soldier Field the past three seasons. They went east and beat the Redskins in the playoffs, and probably should've beaten the Falcons too, if not for the inexplicable prevent defense they used in the final :30.

I think we're reading a little too far into road struggles at this point. That's a young team, an improved roster from off-season additions, and now more experience on their side, too. This could be a legitimate #1 in the NFC this year, and if that were to happen, then it doesn't even matter if they're good or bad on the road, because the NFC road to the Super Bowl would run through Seattle.

That was a beatdown tonight. San Francisco couldn't move the ball, Kaepernick looked feeble. That was ludicrously impressive.

He's actually gotten them into two Super Bowls.

I totally forgot he got them into Super Bowl 44 against the Saints. Another playoff game the Manning-era Colts should have won but didn't.

They beat the Bears when the Bears were in the midst of choking their way out of the playoffs. They beat a bad Buffalo team, lost to an equally bad Dolphins team, and lost to a bad Lions team. Last week they struggled mightily with a mediocre Panthers team. In the playoffs they beat a hobbled RGIII -- the only reason the Redskins made the playoffs was because of the zone-read and they couldn't run it in that game.

Without the blown call against Green Bay last year, they wouldn't have made the playoffs last year.

Russell Wilson went just 8-19 but the Seahawks still won going away in the game of the week against their biggest division rival. I would say that, yeah, given two weeks of data, they look legit this season.
