I like the Dodgers new road alternates. Personally, though, the "Los Angeles" jerseys need to be retired. But, I'd wish they'd go back to this:

Yes and yes. The batter logo was placed on the jersey before the 2000 season. It has always been in team colors. I'm not sure when the logo was first placed on the back of the cap (I think 91 or 92), and I think it might have been red-white-blue for all teams the first season or two.

1992 was the year the MLB logo first appeared on the backs of MLB game caps.
100% yes to these

I'm a fan of the new Dodgers alt, maybe its just because im a fan, but I feel that the Dodgers are one ofof maybe four team in baseball that you don't need to see a city name to know where they play the others being the Yankees, Red Sox, Cardinals. I still feel though that the Los Angeles one should still the primary to counteract the Lakers not the city name.

Kershaw is GOD! Kershaw is LIFE! Kershaw is ALL!

I like red white blue for all in the nba, and i think it would look fine in mlb though what they do now doesnt bother me

Im lucky the dodgers use the regular mlb logo

I used to feel this way. I always liked the team colors, but loved that the Yankees had the regular logo. I kinda don't like that they changed, especially the fact that 2009 was this weird half year where the cap had one logo and the jersey the other. ]

Looks like this year's "clubhouse"/post-game hats are out:

And there will be Diamond-Era 3930s?

These are from the Fanatics site, BTW.

(I tried to post these as images, but it wouldn't let me. Oh well.)

Any links to the other teams?

The Dodgers will alternate between two road jerseys this season, with one reading "Dodgers" across the front and the other "Los Angeles."

Dodgers executive vice president and chief marketing officer Lon Rosen said in a statement that the trend will begin in Spring Training and the club will wear the new "Dodgers" uniforms when the club opens the season in Australia on March 22.

When the team moved to California in 1958, their road uniforms read "Dodgers" but were changed the following season to "Los Angeles" and remained that way until 1969. The team name returned from 1970-98, but the club has worn road uniforms with "Los Angeles" since then.

It will be the first time the club has donned alternate uniforms since 2011, when they wore powder-blue Brooklyn jerseys for six home games.

"Because we are equally proud of our iconic brand name and the city we represent and with the number of Dodger fans across the country, we felt it important to have two sets of road jerseys to feature both the team name, as well as Los Angeles," Rosen said.

the worst helmets design to me is the Jacksonville jaguars hamlets from 1995 to 2012 because you can't see the logo vary wall

I got an email from MLMD.com (the people that sell the low crown NE 5950's). They just got the new Mets & Reds 2014 alts (the camo hats). The email also mentioned that they will soon have the new-for-2014 Cubs, A's road...and Tampa Bay. That's a new development.

Go Astros!

Go Texans!

Go Rockets!

Go Javelinas!

Does any team know how to do anything aesthetically pleasing anymore...all the Dodgers had to do was copy this

img22189405.jpg

but since they left off the white outline they just added a pointless alternate, so close to perfection but a fail

the white outlined script would have gone perfect with their bp cap

sandy-koufax-rejoins-dodgers.jpgI dunno, hard to find fault with this.

i wish they would ditch the piping to match these

Thats why i like these new alts

The only piping i like on the dodgers is the old 80s 90s set. Those piazza jerseys as an alt wouldve been ideal, but im fine with these as a dodger fan

Terrible move for the Dodgers. As much as I hate the team, they have one of the best sets in the league and it should remain untouched. Leave the home script on the grey jerseys to rarely used throwbacks.

Any links to the other teams?

For the Clubhouse 3930s: http://www.fanatics.com/search/MLB%202014%20On-Field%20Clubhouse%2039THIRTY%20Flex%20Hat

For the DE 3930s: http://www.fanatics.com/search/Diamond%20Era%20Performance%20Flex%20Hat

That appears to be all the ones up at this point, at least on the Fanatics store.

As I scrolled down, I saw the Orioles bird in the clubhouse (neon?) treatment and thought, "Good thing Cleveland switched to the C," but then there was Wahoo, hollowed out eyes and all.

Creepy.

Creepy.

How on Earth did a group of designers (or execs, whatever) decide on that, thinking it was a good look?

Also, I'm in agreement with most of you about the unnecessary nature of the Dodgers' alternates (the explanation behind them is comical). At the very least, they dropped the white outline.
