But the thing this brings to light is that baseball's rules are BS and the union should be complaining about it. This signing only happened because A-Roid was suspended, keeping the Yankees out of the luxury tax.

While I agree with the gist, in signing Tanaka, the Yankees gave up their plans to get under $189M to have the luxury tax reset.

So Tracy McGrady is contemplating a baseball career and reportedly has a 91 MPH fastball.

I think it is a long shot he has any future as a pitcher given his age and frankly 91 these days is nothing.

He has NOTHING on Sk8rBoi.

I'm sure he could easily find a job in the minor leagues somewhere, even putting his name aside.

The Reds have reached agreement on a minor league deal with infielder Ramon Santiago, reports CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman. Santiago gets a Spring Training invitation, and will earn $1.1MM if he breaks camp with the club.

The Reds aren't going to do anything substantial this offseason.

The starting rotation will be as good as ever and the bullpen will be lights out per ushe, but I don't know how they're going to score runs. Jocketty's banking on rebound years from Ludwick, Frazier, Cozart, Phillips, and is going to rely on a rookie (Billy Hamilton) as his every day centerfielder who hasn't shown any ability with his bat and still may be a defensive liability. Is Devin Mesoraco (I had a drink with him at Tin Roof a couple of weeks ago. Nobody except me recognized him for the first fifteen minutes he was there. Nice guy.) ready to be the starting catcher. I think so and his average down the stretch last season is a good sign, but he's another question mark.

This team has too many question marks in the lineup for me to feel good about this season. A lot is going to have to go right for them to contend with St. Louis.

Get ready for third place again.

The Chicago Cubs game scheduled for Sunday, June 29, against the Washington Nationals at Wrigley Field has been moved to Saturday, June 28, as part of a separate admission, day-night doubleheader. This change was made at the request of Alderman Tom Tunney and in consideration of neighborhood traffic and congestion in connection with the annual Pride Parade in Chicago on June 29.

the worst helmets design to me is the Jacksonville jaguars hamlets from 1995 to 2012 because you can't see the logo vary wall
