Do we know which combo Oregon will be wearing in the Rose Bowl? This has potential to be a really nice looking inaugural CFP if Oregon wears green and yellow, and not black/grey/volt.

I'll be honest, I loved the grey and volt. It was unique at the time and I thought it looked great.

With that being said, they need to go kelly green for the playoff. Either yellow/green/yellow or white/white/green. They just have to. Anything else would be a disappointment tbh.

They tend to go pretty classic when playing in the Rose Bowl. And since they're playing FSU they should have a second game to wear something crazy in.

Well, they wore chrome helmets in the Rose Bowl a couple years ago.

Well at least they wore dark green jerseys the last couple of times. I would not be surprised to see a green version of the new template hit the field but then again there's a possibility of two postseason games to outfit so who knows.

Hmm... Throwback uniforms... I've never wanted Penn State to ever do anything different. I've grown to be okay with the names on the back since it was meant to symbolize the players who stayed, but a whole 'nother uniform? I don't know. I have to say it'd be pretty neat, but I'm not sure if I want Penn State to become one of everyone else. At least it wouldn't be as snazzy as most other's and it'd only be one.

That'd be interesting. So possibly something similar to Oregon's look last year?

At least it would be historically accurate for Penn State, and they'd be honoring their past in such a way. For that reason, I like it.

So I was at a mall in New Orleans over the weekend and came across an interesting Nike jersey at a Lids store. I've never seen a Nike jersey like this and am now wondering if this is what we'll start seeing in stores now given the court rulings regarding use of player likeness and decisions by some schools regarding numbered merchandise:

I sure hope not because that is terrible.

I don't think they would go that route, when you can always just print up a few #1 jerseys and then I guess the year (#14 or so). At least that way it isn't some fairly random number like #38 for a star player.

It looks like an old Hutch or Franklin jersey (those uniforms they make for kids) ...but for grown ups.

What happens when the star player is the year?

Just use numbers the teams aren't using, though with that many players, it could be difficult. Most jerseys don't have names anyway. I'd rather see team nicknames instead of location nicknames

I will lay down and bleed a while

Navy just announced their uniforms for the Army-Navy game:

Press Release:

BALTIMORE, Md. - The Navy football team will wear custom Under Armour "Don't Tread On Me" uniforms for the 115th Army-Navy Game on Saturday, December 13 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md. at 3:00 PM on CBS.

The Under Armour uniforms are inspired by the First Navy Jack. In 2002 Secretary of the Navy Gordon R. England ordered all United States Navy ships to fly the First Navy Jack with the "Don't Tread On Me" motto and moving rattlesnake in place of the regular Navy Jack for the duration of the global war on terror. The First Navy Jack, with its red and white stripes, was first used by the Continental Navy during the American Revolution.

On the uniforms, the "Don't Tread On Me" motto is embroidered into the hem of each jersey as well as the side of the pants, and right sleeve of the baselayer.

The 13 red and white stripes featured in the flag are incorporated into the shoulders of the jersey, knee insets of the pants, palms of the gloves, baselayer and socks.

The UA ArmourGrid Technology is the "no grab" technology that makes every Midshipman unstoppable on the gridiron.

Under Armour has designed a new N-Star logo using the red and white stripes of the flag with an interlocking rattlesnake, which will appear on the side of the helmets.

Under Armour has been outfitting Navy's 33 men's and women's varsity athletic teams since July 1, 2014. Navy is the first service academy to be outfitted by the Under Armour Brand from head-to-toe.

I think this is gonna look great, but that new logo needs the snake tail to loop around the front and then go back from the top left corner. As is, really looks like it's chopped in half
