FiddySicks
Oh God. I'm terrified now. The Bucs shouldn't touch a single element of their uniforms IMO. If they switch to Florida Orange and Pewter, I'm probably gonna have to go tumbling off of that wagon for good. A uniform change may seem like a dumb reason to ditch a team, but one of the biggest reasons I've always liked the Bucs is because of their last uniform switch. They need to just keep their current set and leave those double orange monstrosities in the past where they belong. BBTV
They're bringing back the creamsicles but instead of the Bucco Bruce logo they're making a Bucco Sapp version.Done.Probably have to fix the hair on the bottom left. Some of us were fans well before red and pewter was even thought of over here. (And plus, don't I remember you once mentioning you were attracted to the Buccaneers because of the orange, in that it reminded you of the Tennessee Volunteers orange, where either you had some family or were a fan of that team previously?)As much as it'd elate every single fiber of the core of my Florida-born-and-bred being to see my Buccaneers revive and reclaim their old orange and white (+ red), as long as the Glazer boys are running the show, I don't see that happening--that red and pewter sells too well. And now that the league has that one-helmet rule, I doubt we'll see the original uniforms for a while, if at all--unless I have something to say about it. **UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT*** Even though right now I'm having difficulty coming up with a way to improve upon it, the red and gray, not to mention pretty much the entirety of Tampa's logo and idenity package, got stale on me a good couple years ago. Part of it is because even through I love Osaki's illustration style, this particular set is really showing its age. The other thing is that thanks to Nike shoving its anthracite up into dang near every single one of the college teams they outfit, and adidas and UA following suit with some of their programs, Tampa's pewter has really begun to lose its luster to me--its no longer unique.Speaking of which...many around here clamor for a mash of orange and pewter, and have been for years. Orange and "gray" CAN look good together...but in all my Creamerite existence I've yet to see a single concept that makes it work or look even halfway good for the Buccaneers. *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||

I had a handful of friends back in the 80's that started following the Bucs because of their creamsicle unis. One of them quit paying attention to them when they switched to the pewter. Buc, sorry, but I'm going to pile on: The creamsicle era was an awful look. The current is damned near perfect. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! BBTV
They're both good looks. The creamsicles probably need a little more dark orange / red (they originally did, right?) but IMO aren't a bad look. It's just that their current look (except for the white pants) is "soooooooo good" </t33n girl squad> .They have a unique color scheme that they "own", and had they been able to stay relevant after the SB win, it would have become so associated with them that they wouldn't evne be thinking about changing. BBTV
Now I'm not a chromophobe or anything, but this scares me. I don't think we're ready for chrome helmets / masks in the NFL. I really think that the HGI treatments don't belong in the NFL, as they're trendy modern designs have such a short shelf life and eventually get switched out. That's totally fine for a lot of college programs trying to consistenlty stay current to cater to their recruits, etc., but it doesn't have a place in the NFL. I do like what Seattle is doing, and I think that the league does need a couple of teams that are pushing the envelope, but if you compare it to what we're seeing in college and high school, the Seahawks look is actually pretty reserved, or at least on the conservative side of cutting edge. beruud
I am very scared right now. I have been a Buc fan since 1986. Been through the worst and the pinnacle in both uniforms. Though I appreciate the ol' creamsicles, love them, I do not feel there is a place for them in the NFL.Their current uniforms have been my favorite in the NFL since the minute they came out. If they $@#% this up... I look at the Jaguars abortion and the Dolphins crap heap and just cringe. I am going to have to love a team with a sh***y uniform and logo now?*opens bottle of prozac*Should we open a new thread when it is unveiled? I don;t want to dig through 300 pages of crap to find the information and images... because this board always has the best stuff for logo/jersey changes... by a long shot.Just curious... Please do not fool yourself, the Buccaneers jersey is conceptually and creatively an abomination. Read the "FANFARE" Here...

If you've only been a fan since '95, you ain't been through the worst, homie. *still remembers growing up through the "Yuccaneers" eraYou know, from the moment Nike took over the NFL contract (not that I blame this on the swoosh, per se, just the stylistic trends they pushed or helped push to the forefront), I had this now-not-so-irrational hidden fear that somehow, some way, Tampa was going to give in to the urge to "try something different". Guess we'll see soon what this helmet thing is all about. As for the new logo, they didn't say that it was replacing any of the ones they currently have...they also didn't say it wasn't, either. But I can't see them jettisoning the pirate flag as their primary. If the new logo is anything other than some revision of the old Bruce, I'll be surprised. *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||
