Crownking's posts read as if he has some sort of social-thinking or cognitive deficit, for which reason I've sort of called off the dogs on him. There was another guy like that recently.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

I don't have a cognitive deficit (I'm not dumb.)
your posts aren't very insightful about the topic

I know it could be off topic sometimes, but I usually discuss baseball on this thread, since it's a baseball thread.

It's shameful that we may see the possibility that no team will win 100+ games this year. Shameful. If I were a manager, my goal would be to win 110-120 games. Period. Rest some of the top players some days after we clinched the division and home-field advantage throughout the AL and NL playoffs. Next year, in 2015, teams should aspire for that goal. Period. It makes the game more exciting.

On a game-to-game baseball's a crapshoot. That is simultaneously the most infuriating and charming aspect of the sport. Hell, I just watched a minor league game earlier this week in which a catcher, who was batting 7th, got 3 hits (including a homer) and 5 RBIs in a 7-4 win.

Since we're at this point of the season, who do you think are World Series contenders and pretenders?

Everyone who makes the playoffs is a contender...
Even the miami marlins!!!!

Well they're only 4 games out of a wild card spot so yes they are a contender.

No team has reached their elimination number, so technically yes, everyone is a contender right now :P

Cardinals -- Rams -- Blues -- Tigers -- Liverpool

Paging all statisticians...

Game 1: Twins 20, Tigers 6

Game 2: Twins 12, Tigers 4

Game 3: Twins 6, Tigers 8

Game 4: Twins 4, Tigers 13

Aggregate score: Twins 42, Tigers 31

Total runs: 73

This has gotta be some sort of record for a four game series.
