crownking30
Everyone thought that after the 2010 NLCS Phillies-Giants series that the two teams would battle in a classic NL rivalry. 4 years later, the rivalry's still there, but not powerful than it was years ago. FiddySicks
Big Time Timmy Jim picked up his first career save tonight vs the Phillies. Maybe he's the next John Smoltz Also, with the Giants beating the Phillies tonight, I wanted to post this again.Partly because it's the most awesome thing I've ever seen, and partly because Dan Uggla is now a Giant. HedleyLamarr
If that challenge were the length of the game instead of just 30 minutes, I'd do it.
FiddySicks
I can't believe I've never noticed before tonight just how much Jonathan Papelbon looks like a serial killer. TheOldRoman
I would like to draw attention to how horrific Ryan Howard has become. What the hell?! He's been constantly injured the last few years, but still, he's putting up mind-blowingly bad numbers. The Phillies are trying to move him at any cost, and are willing to eat the majority of his deal. However, he's still owed $70 million! For a DH with an OPS of .682! I don't think I'd take him even if the Phillies ate $68 million of his deal. The Phillies are awful and have lots of old, bad, grossly-overpaid players. I can't believe that just four years ago it looked like the Phillies had established themselves among NYY and Boston as perpetual big-money contenders. He has all the crappy Subway Philly Cheesesteak subs to gorge on until retirement.
crownking30
The Dodgers and Giants meet again tonight in beautiful, serene AT&T Park in San Francisco. I would love for these two teams to be in the playoffs, and heck, an NLCS series, fighting for the National League pennant. That would be wonderful. FiddySicks
That would probably kill me. It'd be worth death to see the Giants down the Dodgers in the playoffs, though. dbadefense1990
The Dodgers amassed the most team triples hit in a single game since 1921.Yasiel Puig became the 1st Dodger player to hit three triples himself in one game since Jim Sheckard in 1901.And yet, one media conglomerate yet again prevented Dodger fans from seeing yet another piece of Dodgers regular-season mastery:
monkeypower
What's the situation with the Sportsnet LA Dodgers thing? Is it a paid/local blackout thing? FiddySicks
Peavy is reportedly headed to San Francisco.Awesome pickup for the Giants!... If this was seven years ago.Peavy and Dan Frickin Uggla. Normally, I'd knock these moves as being cheap and pointless, but I felt the same way about getting Cody Ross, Pat Burrell, and Marco Scutaro, and those moves worked out swimmingly for the Giants. I trust that Sabean knows what he's doing. Still would've rather had Lester, though (duh). On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
