SG89 Posted April 9, 2014 Share Posted April 9, 2014 I've been lurking on the boards for a while and finally joined relatively recently, and then decided "hey, since I like other people's concepts so much, why don't I take a hack at my own?". So I did.Some basic rules that I will probably end up breaking...1) I will not modify any teams' logo unless it's minor (ie- colour change)2) I will not radically change any team with deep history in football.3) I will take into consideration criticism and comments in order to better my mediorce at best concepts.I decided to start with the Jacksonville Jaguars. And I love the sublimated jaguar spots btw.And I feel like this jersey template was made for this jersey, make the flywire part of the collar teal, and make the rest black so it fits better.Striped and make the helmet gradient two tonedAre you saying that you want that garbage helmet they currently have BACK? Veras Posted April 10, 2014 Share Posted April 10, 2014 I like this, it's definitely better than what they wear right now, and might be better than anything that they've ever worn.I vote no stripe, but leave the TV numbers on the shoulder instead of the sleeve (the gap between the Nike logo and the collar is a lot bigger than the gap between the logo and the end of the sleeve, so it will be more balanced).I also agree with making the helmet black. And definitely not two-toned. Nike should have their NFL contract revoked for coming up with that one. 1clkgtramg Posted April 10, 2014 Share Posted April 10, 2014 I was worried at first because I swear there are 7 NFL "refresh" threads up but this is pretty solid. I like the effort and the execution. Those Jaguar spots are a nice touch without being too out there. I too vote for a black helmet, but I do like the stripes on the arms. Also, I think a nice Teal, Gold, Teal stripe on the Helmet would pull it all together.As for whoever said a gradient helmet would look good, I'm hoping that was sarcasm lmfao!! upperV03 Posted April 10, 2014 Share Posted April 10, 2014 Sure it's not one solid color, and doesn't have a traditional striping pattern but it is a modern design, and with that comes some interesting and more risky and sometimes gaudy designs. It's the same way in college football. It is a modern design not a hideous design. My point is to shut up about the uniforms and get over the fact that uniforms, as well as the games the uniforms are being played in are evolving and changing with the times. So deal with it. You think anyone could just "go get a job at Nike"? People put their creations here, they receive C&C and usually if the majority thinks something should be altered, we end up with a near flawless result. Many people here will get messages from people wanting to use/purchase a logo design, so I don't quite see what you are on about. The only way everybody will "shut up" about it is if you stop visiting.On topic: I think this concept is nice. You've stripped away some of the extraneous elements of the current jags unis and added some unique subtle touches. If we all just sat back and said "yea I'll just deal with it" then who knows what state we would all be in. Make the pants the same as the shoulder, add a stripe the same color as the shoulder to the helmet and then it would would be perfect.
