Critical Thinker Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 I designed these logos and wordmarks for my high school. We're the Big Rapids Cardinals. They're pretty low-quality, since I made them using Paint and Word. Given what you have to work with you've done an excellent job. You might want to try adding an eye like the BGSU logo has so it doesn't look to abstract, which is not a bad thing but just to give you other options as to what direction you want to go with it. I think it was better before with the dark interior, but this one emphasizes that it's an outline of a cardinal, not a full cardinal. What do you think? TheFuture Posted April 21, 2014 Share Posted April 21, 2014 Suggestion: in the white section make the portion above the beak blue and leave the rest white. Otherwise I'd say it's a good logo. You can put it on a football helmet, a baseball cap, or midcourt on a basketball court, etc. It should work well with all the school's sports. Critical Thinker Posted June 7, 2014 Author Share Posted June 7, 2014 Free time has been hard to come by for me lately, but I finally got around to making some adjustments on this. Pretty much the only change was the colors; the red is less bright. Thanks to all who gave me suggestions on the bird head logo, but after trying to execute them, I decided it was best as it was. I dropped the outlines completely on the primary, but left one with a blue interior as an alternate/secondary type of deal. I really want to get the idea across that the red space is positive and the blue space is negative on the alternate. Did some work on making an actual presentation as well. Thoughts?
