Other examples I can think of are the Avalanche's white jersey-black helmet combo in 1995, and the Bruins' white helmet with their Pooh bear jersey. BrianLion Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Pens wore yellow helmets at home with white jerseys, I think for about 3 seasons from '84/'85 to '87/'88 Side note: in 1983/1984 they had no white jersey and pulled an all yellow home look. Critical Thinker Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Bowling Green State got new brown helmets this season that they have been rotating with the white ones they've had the last few years. The shade of brown doesn't match the shade on their jersey (I didn't even notice until a friend pointed it out to me). It'll be interesting to see how they use them from here on out.
