Schools did not teach counting and multiplying by 3 until 1987, the year after the NCAA adopted the 3 point shot.

And the OP roots for a school who hired Charlie Weis.

Translated Title:

A SUCCESSFUL BLACK WOMAN WANTS TO BUY A SPORTS TEAM

Don't be so closed minded. If Oprah wants to have ownership of the Clippers, she can do it. And besides, she wouldn't run the team, just be an investor.

Nope, the last thing we need is a racist jackass owning the Clips.

I'd embrace an NBA team owned by Oprah, cause you know she would put herself on the logo.

Contradictory much? Reverse racism is still racism.

How would this be any different from any other ownership group other than the fact that people have heard of Oprah? What's the big deal?

Sports leagues need more personalities in ownership. This could onlybe a good thing. It's not like she'd be actually running the team, but it never hurts to have celebrity involvement, especially in LA.

Los Angeles Sparks in trouble, need owner badly...Oprah's nowhere to be found. LA Clippers go up for sale...suddenly her name pops up.

Ugh. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Tradition is the foundation of innovation, and not the enemy.

I wonder how long she'll need to own the Clippers before the Gawker prigs descend upon her and expose some time that she yelled at The Help. They probably have already.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Not too sure about that, had she made a bid for the Sparks, no way they'd turn her down, the positive publicity would definitely be there, and there'd be a good chance that she could get WNBA games on her network. Basically, she'd be a key player in the WNBA overnight, rather than being just another owner in the NBA.

Meh, I probably feel this way because I'm a WNBA fan lol. And anything involved with this Sterling debacle feels rotten to me.

Ya Oprah could put all her money and resources into the wnba and it would still be where it is today. It's just the market doesn't care about women's basketball to make it any much bigger than it already is
