illwauk
What about the resch center in Green BayUWGB is already more than enough basketball for Green Bay. The last minor league basketball team to try and make a run there ended up moving their games to the gym at Appleton East High School during the season. Both the Fox Valley and La Crosse have successfully hosted CBA teams before; and as of right now, neither of them have a higher level of basketball than D3. Needschat
A schooner is a two or three masted sailing vessel, just smaller than a clipper. Also, a BIG glass of beer, usually 32 oz or more Oh what could have been....

mfoster
5800 seats would be just right for a D-League team (There are only three teams with 10,000+ seat arenas in the D-League: Iowa, Fort Wayne and Tulsa/OKC).Actually, the Tulsa 66'ers are no more. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/2014/07/18/thunder-affiliate-tulsa-66ers-moving-to-okc/12849655/The last two seasons they've been in the SpiritBank Event Center in Bixby, which seats 4,500.Now they're going to the Cox Center across the street from the Thunder, which is also home to the AHL Barons. It seats about 13,500 and had previously hosted (among other venues across the OKC metro and state in general) the CBA Cavalry franchise. As for the team's new name... this recent USPTO filing suggests they'll be the Oklahoma City Blue. Seriously, that's a horrible name. It seems like they didn't have enough space to put "Blue Devils" or something, so they just said "Heck with it, We'll just go with Blue. hettinger_rl
Just had a thought... once all the teams have a 1-1 affiliate the second round of the draft should be a ticket straight to the D-League. Unless they play their way onto the main roster via summer league or something. This could really turn into a farm-team system.
4_tattoos
The Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland would be a decent home arena for a D-League team should the Wizards decide to officially adopt an affiliate. With the rule enter the draft or commit to at least two seasons in the NCAA. MLB has a similar rule. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
