Limosine? Haha :P some really nice cleanups as usual. My favourite of the 4 is Lorraine.

One thing I've noticed are your flag sizes are all the same. Is there a rule in fance for the sizes of the flags?

Uh, you made me search for a correlation between the cars and the region.

mfw there is one :o

"The word limousine is derived from the name of the French region Limousin, because this covered compartment physically resembled the raised hood of the cloak worn by the shepherds there. An alternate etymology has the chauffeur wearing a Limousin-style cloak in the open driver's compartment, for protection from the weather.[6][7]"

To answer your question, I don't think there is a rule but the flags are pretty much always the same size. I wouldn't be able to tell, but I have yet to find a different shaped flag of a french region.

  • 1 month later...

I've been really busy this past month, couldn't get around photoshop much. So I've decided to cut this series short. I will provide the remaining regions with only IDs and plates, without all the info.

Searching for these was the biggest part of this work and since it's not really followed, might as well finish it once and for all. Which is understandable, given the centralized aspect of this series.

I enjoyed this series so it's a shame to see it cut short. But I understand. There is a small demographic that would know anything about France let alone this specific type of design - hell, the License Plates are a long shot too, I think my persistent posting is all that's keeping it relevant.

Your work was clean and consistent so there wasn't much to say other than "great job". It was one of those threads where you just watch because nothing needs to really be said, all the work is great.
