So this weekend had the Kings and Spurs wining titles in Silver and Black. I'm curious as to what other years this happened.

I'm sure its happened with RWB, so in that case how about the primary color being the same.

The 2013 NBA Championship, Stanley Cup and World Series were all won by teams (Heat, Blackhawks, Red Sox) whose primary color is red.

Last year's Super Bowl and MLS Cup, on the other hand, were lost (49ers, Real Salt Lake) by teams whose primary color is red.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

Here's what I can come up with off the top of my head:

2009-The Saints and Penguins both won with black and gold.

2006-The Heat and Hurricanes won in red and black. To throw in a cheap one the Gators won both the basketball and football championships in blue and orange.

2005-The Spurs and White Sox both won their respective championships wearing silver and black.

2004-The Red Sox, Patriots and both UConn basketball teams all won their respective championships wearing navy and red. If you want to stretch it you could also add the Pistons and say five teams who wore red and any shade of blue won the title.

1997-Nebraska won the football national championship and the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup in red and white.

1990-We had two sets here. The Reds and UNLV won wearing red and white, while the Pistons and Giants won in blue and red.

1985-The Bears and Oilers won in dark blue and orange.

Here's an honorable mention:

2002-Huge stretch, but you could say five different teams won wearing red. Ohio State won the BCS, Maryland won the NCAA tournament, the Bucs won the Super Bowl, the Angels won the World Series and the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup with red being the predominant color for each. The complementary colors are all different though.

If we're being literal (and it's silly not to be since you could consider almost anything a match if you stretch far enough), then many of those have to be removed:

2014- Los Angeles Kings/San Antonio Spurs (Black/Silver)
2013- Chicago Blackhawks/Miami Heat (Red/Black)
2011- St. Louis Cardinals/New York Giants (Red/Blue) different primary colors, different blues
2010- New Orleans Saints/Pittsburgh Penguins (Black/Gold)
2007- Boston Red Sox/New York Giants (Red/Blue) different blues
2006- Carolina Hurricanes/Miami Heat (Red/Black)
2004- Boston Red Sox/New England Patriots/Detroit Pistons (Red/Blue) different blues
2001- New England Patriots/Colorado Avalanche (Red/Blue) not even close on this one
1994- San Francisco 49ers/Houston Rockets (Red/Gold) different golds
1993- Toronto Blue Jays/Montreal Canadiens (Red/Blue) TOR used very little red, while it is primary for MTL.
1990- New York Giants/Detroit Pistons (Red/Blue)
1989- San Francisco 49ers/Calgary Flames (Red/Gold) different golds
1986- New York Giants/Montreal Canadiens (Red/Blue) MTL was primarily a red team, the NYG wore blue.
1985- Chicago Bears/Edmonton Oilers (Blue/Orange) drastically different blues
1984- Detroit Tigers/Edmonton Oilers (Blue/Orange) drastically different blues
1979- Pittsburgh Pirates/Pittsburgh Steelers (Black/Gold)
1978- Montreal Canadiens/Washington Bullets (Red/Blue)
1968- New York Jets/Boston Celtics (Green/White)
1967- St. Louis Cardinals/Philadelphia 76ers (Red/Blue) different blues, and IIRC blue was main Sixers color, as opposed to red for STL.

so there have never been 3 pro teams with exact same colors to win in one season.........lets hope for a white sox and raiders chip........if the raiders win will it still count ?

Yes it'll count. The Seahawks are the 2013 super bowl champs. The NFL/college football champs are always tied to the year the regular season was played.

So the premise is still active. We're waiting on the Raiders and Chi Sox to complete the Holy Quadrality.

1985-The Bears and Oilers won in dark blue and orange.

That's a stretch as the Oilers Blue at the time was closer to royal than the dark navy of the bears. Oilers jerseys weren't darkened until the late 90s/early 2000s

Yeah it's not happening, rather see another navy team (Yankees) join UConn as 2014 champs.

*Yankees and UConn men's hoops (1999)

If we include English Premier League:

*Manchester United and Miami Heat (2013)

*Manchester United and Chicago Bulls (1993, 1996 & 1997)

*Manchester United and Houston Rockets (1994)

If we include the Scottish Premier League

*Celtic FC and Boston Celtics (1966, 1968, 1969, 1974, 1981, 1986, 2008)

*Rangers FC and New York Rangers (1994)
