Next MLB Overhaul?

With the recent uniform/logo overhauls of the last few years (Blue Jays, Marlins, Astros...), there's no real obvious baseball team that seems like they're going to change any time soon. So I thought this might be a fun time to make predictions, and then dig this thread out again how ever many years from now a team finally does overhaul their look.

Some guesses:

Seattle Mariners

Milwaukee Brewers

Cleveland Indians

San Diego Padres

Colorado Rockies

Final answer: My money's on San Diego. Their only consistent uniform tradition is continual change.

Milwaukee Brewers

Ye gods, I hope so.

Same here, but after feeling "it's only a matter of time" even since the Retro Fridays began, I'm not holding my breath.

I think you have drawn up a pretty good list of candidates. I agree that the Padres will be next.

Whatever it is the Indians are trying to do right now isn't working, so if they're going to abandon Wahoo, they need to go back to the drawing board. The Rockies have gotten very stale, as well. There's a lot of potential in purple/black/silver, but they're not doing a very good job with it. Getting rid of the pinstripes and also the HORRIBLE black vests would be a good start, along with more emphasis on the purple and less on the black.

I think the Mariners and Brewers are fine, but it wouldn't surprise me to see them change.

Rockies need to embrace purple and the Indians need to find something better to represent the title "Indians" than a simple C. Whatever that may be.

Mariners and Brewers won't change as stated due to the financial gain they get from selling both throwback merchandise and their current wear merchandise.

I've looked into it, and I believe the Padres have had at least one uniform redesign every 10 years. I don't dislike their current look, but I still think they're going to change it, because that's what they do.

Padres have the new ownership factor again, right? Or is the current uni their doing? My money is on them.

The Cubs are now looking to align Wrigley's 110th anniversary with the completion of their rebuilding process, so look for a new look from them in 2024. :)

Unpopular Opinion Yet Plausible:

Oakland.

I hate everything about their identity. And from what I can gather, I'm not alone (!).

I love the A's and the yellow and green combination - but changing the big A's and the numbers on the green unis from yellow to white looks awful.

The Brewers can continue to sell throwback merchandise as well as their modern look. The modern look just needs to be a good one.

But the only look people seen to want is a return to the throwbacks.

My money's on the Mariners or Padres. The Padres keep hinting at SOMETHING, and there's been a cream/blue & yellow overhaul for the M's for a year or so.

Pittsburgh also was rumored to have new uniforms on the horizon last season, but I think the return to the playoffs kept that on hold.
