Unocal
What are some playoff series that you think are better/not as good as some people give it too much or not enough praise? And this would include playoff series, so I'm excluding the NFL from this. Baseball underrated; 2002 World Series. I consider this a guilty pleasure WS. So many runs, no lead was safe, one of those teams HAD to win. 1992 World Series. It came after the legendary 1991 series, but it was a worthy follow-up. Only one game was a real blowout and even that had some drama (game 5- Morris trying to make history, but we get a rare grand slam. Baseball overrated: 1986 World Series. Games 6-7 have elevated what was an "eh" series through 5 games to mythical proportions. NHL Underrated 2006 Stanley Cup Finals. Didn't have big markets, but it was gripping epic hockey theatre. Game 1 alone was better than some entire SCF. 1992 Stanley Cup Finals: Probably the most competitive and interesting SCF sweep ever. NHL Overrated 2009 Stanley Cup Finals- Outside of game 7, really not the greatest of seven-game series. The first 6 games were meh outside of game 4's quick strike succession of three goals. JackieMoon
I think every sport (that uses it) should go from 7 to best-of-5. 7 games just drags out the season way too long. Baseball use to be best-of-9! Yikes
Sanic
Don't know what to classify the Wild v. Avs series with, but it was a good one.
