chrysleraspen08
I have noticed that there are a few interesting features in some minor league parks (of course, some are a lot more noticeable than others). Some of the ones that I have heard about so far include the Quad Cities River Bandits having a corn field in left field near the bullpen, and the South Bend Silver Hawks using a former synagogue as their team souvenir store. What are some other ones that you know of? Jer15
Myrtle Beach Pelican play at (what's currently called) ticketreturn.com field. They have a playground for kids, a picnic area down right field and, a beach area just off right field. It's also the same stadium that was home to the Myrtle Beach Mermen from Eastbound and Down. waltere
I've always been a fan of what's now MCU Park, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones, right by the sea and overlooked by the old Coney Island theme park 1 hour ago, BringBackTheVet said: sorry sweetie, but I don't suck minor-league d CCSLC Post of the day September 3rd 2012
Gothamite
That's a beautiful ballpark. I take my kids there a couple times every summer. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

What are some other ones that you know of?The River Bandits' Modern Woodmen Park also sits along the Mississippi River and has the Centennial Bridge in the right field backdrop......and now a Ferris Wheel (and downtown Davenport) in left:And after the ballpark flooded in 1993 and 2001, they came up with a plan so it now does this:And they still play during the floods thanks to a special bridge. More photos:Photos: River next to, not in, ballparkIt was always a great river view before places like Cincy and Pitt dumped the cookie cutter stadiums. Definitely unique. Cosmic
I can't help but chuckle at the idea of saving the ballpark at the expense of diverting flood water towards other homes and businesses.
CubsFanBudMan
There are parks on either side of it, and the nearest business is a casino ... riverboat. The city seems to have given up almost everything else in the flood plain (golf course on an island, houses, even the casino is moving, etc.) now that it floods every other year instead of every 20 or so. That makes more sense you frame it like that. That building on the far lower right of the picture might be happier with a couple million more gallons of water in the ballpark, though. CubsFanBudMan
It's the park bandshell. Top left is city-owned ice rink/indoor soccer field, built above flood stage, I believe.
raysox
Montgomery has one of the quirkiest parks. It's built out of an old train station, there's a train track running behind left field, and in right there's a flag pole with a large area around it so the outfield wall has a semi circle indenting into the field @MichaelDanger19 | Dribbble
