ForwardProgress Posted August 8, 2014 Share Posted August 8, 2014 My Brewers alternate throwback logo that I posted yesterday got a good response so I am adding another one of my concepts today. But first, a little bit of backstory...I am obsessed with logos that were designed in the 70's. So that got me wondering: what if some teams that have had the same logo since their inception before 1970 got a new logo in the 70's? What would it look like?The first team I did was the Kansas City Chiefs. I combined a red capital K with a football shape that is made up of a black C and an arrowhead. I am a big fan of diagonal stripes so I couldn't help but include them as the laces on the football. Plus it is kind of reminiscent of warpaint. The arrow head looks like a fish and the "K" looks like a dude who just got his legs beaten with a baseball bat and he's crawling away. I see Swaziland:It's a clever and interesting idea, but the C seems fat and forced and there's no yellow. I know there's no yellow in the Cheifs' current primary but I hate that it doesn't. Whenever I design a uniform concept I try to incorporate elements from the flag of the city a team is located in. I've been doing this since 2009, waaaaay before Under Armor came up with the Maryland Pride state flag uni's.Anyway, since my concept logo reminded you guys of two African nation flags it got me curious to see what the flag of Nigeria looked like since Christian Okoye was known as the Nigerian Nightmare. I was hoping for some red, black, and white in it so it would match the Chiefs' uniforms but unfortunately the flag is just green and white: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
