thebigeh
I don't know if this was posted anywhere here. I did a search to see if someone had, but it doesn't seem to be the case. If somebody has, feel free to let me know.In the Uni-Watch edition of May 31, 2014, there was a link hidden amongst all the other links. It was about a hockey sweater put up for auction by a man named Danny Wood, who had spend a good part of his life as a hockey trainer for various major and minor league teams. In 1967, Wood was hired as the first trainer of the new NHL expansion Los Angeles Kings. At the beginning of his employment, Wood was given, what appears to be, a prototype home sweater made by Rawlings for the Kings to wear. They came up because, earlier this year, Wood put this prototype up for auction. They looked a little different from what the Kings would eventually wear.It would seem that these prototypes may have been inspired by one of the earliest pro hockey teams in LA, the 1940s Los Angeles Monarchs of the old Pacific Coast Hockey League. So what do you all think? Is this a real gem of a find?

BigGameBob
It could be a decent alt nowadays. But modernize that LA patch and you've got yourself a pretty good logo.

Guest
Wonder if this color scheme inspired Jerry Buss to choose these colors for the Lakers after the 1965-66 season. It would seem that these prototypes may have been inspired by one of the earliest pro hockey teams in LA, the 1940s Los Angeles Monarchs of the old Pacific Coast Hockey League. So what do you all think?
