  1. And full of steroids. If approved by both the city and county, which it still needs to be, this extension is pretty much symbolic. I'm talking about how nice the stadium used to be and the great view of the Oakland hills. The Oakland Hills...which turn GAP khaki in early April. Heck, they are a fire alert now. To All: While Lew Wolff is the voice of the A's, John Fisher is the $$$ behind the team and majority owner. The same thing goes with another Coliseum Complex team, the Golden State Warriors...Joe Lacob is the voice...Peter Guber is the $$$. Most everyone knows especially here the Bay Area that Fisher and Guber are the money men. But thanks for sharing.

  3. Funny thing is San Francisco Sharks was going to be the name of the WHA team before funding fell through and the club was moved to Quebec and became the Nordiques.
  4. Eventually everything will move to Seattle or threaten to. :-)
  5. Move the Sharks to Cleveland and then in a few years they can merge with the Minnesota Wild.
  6. Too late! Sepp has already spent the bribe money.
  7. I think eventually Adam Silver will convince the owners to realign the NBA back to 4 divisions. Assuming teams don't relocate, Seattle & Vancouver are added as expansion teams for the 2018-2019 season. EASTERN CONFERENCE Atlantic Division Boston, Brooklyn, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Toronto, Washington Central Division Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Indiana, Milwaukee, Minnesota WESTERN CONFERENCE Midwest Division Dallas, Denver, Houston, Memphis, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Utah Pacific Division L.A. Clippers, L.A. Lakers, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver
  8. I still think the SEC will go after Virginia Tech & N.C. State plus the Big Ten wants to further expand it's eastern footprint not just with Penn State, Maryland & Rutgers but possibly Virginia & Georgia Tech as well. It won't be for awhile though. Big Ten would love to have that Atlanta market and the SEC would love to have a foothold in North Carolina and Virginia. This has to do with TV mostly. The Big Ten and SEC networks.
  9. Nice realignment preview Muggens. But I don't see Iowa State in there. However, what if the max cap number of members is upto 20 instead of 16, who would you add those 4 more members on each super-conference? I did leave Iowa State out for the moment but you're right I do think super conferences might go to 18 or 20. I'm starting think that eventually the Big Ten & SEC will raid the ACC for schools again.
  10. College Football Realignment Armageddon 2025 SEC East Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt West Arkansas, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M PAC-16 Coast California, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Washington, Washington State Plains Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, Colorado, Texas, TCU, Texas Tech, Utah BIG SIXTEEN East Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers West Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Wisconsin ACC Coastal Boston College, Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, N.C. State, Syracuse, Wake Forest, West Virginia Atlantic Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Virginia, Virginia Tech
  11. NBA Expands to Seattle & Vancouver in 2018. League returns to Seattle and gives Vancouver another shot. League realigns into 3 conferences. Top 16 teams by record qualify for playoffs. Seeded 1 through 16 no matter what conference. EASTERN CONFERENCE Atlanta, Boston, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Toronto, Washington CENTRAL CONFERENCE Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Indiana, Memphis, Minnesota, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, San Antonio WESTERN CONFERENCE Denver, L.A. Clippers, L.A. Lakers, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle, Utah, Vancouver
  12. Oops my bad, sorry for forgetting Houston so here we go: Expansion in italics East Atlanta Chicago Fire Columbus Crew D.C. United Miami Montreal Impact New England Revolution New York City FC New York Red Bulls Orlando City SC Philadelphia Union Toronto FC West Colorado Rapids FC Dallas Houston Dynamo LA Galaxy Los Angeles FC (or whatever Chivas is re-branded as) Portland Timbers Real Salt Lake San Jose Earthquakes Seattle Sounders FC Sporting Kansas City Vancouver Whitecaps FC Then maybe Minnesota or San Antonio as the 24th club
  13. So with Atlanta in all likelihood being added as the 22nd franchise in MLS, here is the 2017 alignment: Expansion in italics East Atlanta Columbus Crew D.C. United Miami Montreal Impact New England Revolution New York City FC New York Red Bulls Orlando City SC Philadelphia Union Toronto FC West Chicago Fire Colorado Rapids FC Dallas LA Galaxy Los Angeles FC (or whatever Chivas is re-branded as) Portland Timbers Real Salt Lake San Jose Earthquakes Seattle Sounders FC Sporting Kansas City Vancouver Whitecaps FC
