I think it would much better with a white helmet rather than blue. I would maybe try a rainbow stripe down the center of the helmet also. Just food for thought.

I'm sure you're not the first person to come up with the name "Hammers" for a team in Pittsburgh. I don't think you have enough evidence to call foul.
As for the concept, I love it. Rendering is clean and I like how glossy it looks. Fantastic.
