  1. Eh, I said the same thing last time around. I don't think it's terrible (I went to check out IP's offficial forums last night to get an idea of what it would look like), but it'll definitely take some getting used to.
  2. Nah... go to some Blues and Cardinals games and make some friends. Or dating prospects. Or both. Or go to a country bar, silently take over their TouchTunes with hip-hop via phone. Folks in Arnold love that. Wait... When it comes to dating prospects, he can definitely find someone at a Blues game...
  3. You're now qualified to be a Chargers fan.Speaking of which... I'm a Chargers fan with no connection to San Diego. I'm a fan because my dad's family spent their summers there, so be became a Chargers fan and I "inherited" that. I'm telling you all this because while I have no real connection to San Diego my dad does. Not as much as someone from there, but he knows the city and thinks fondly of it. We were talking about this whole mess and I brought up the fact that the Chargers are probably going to move to LA one way or another. I'm going to try and reconstruct the relevant bit of that conversation as best I can. Dad: "Why would the Chargers move? It should be the Raiders and Rams. The Chargers were never a LA team." Me: "Well they played there for a year, for their first season." Dad: "That doesn't count and no one cares." Me: "Well Spanos wants to move back because he says the Rams moving to LA would damage his revenue streams." Dad: "Dean Spanos is an idiot." That pretty much sums it up. Los Angeles Chargers: they don't count and no one cares. Also? Dean Spanos? Idiot. Yep. Yep. They're ditching the city where they've spent all but one year of their entire existence in, for a place where they're guaranteed to be second fiddle, and Spanos is too much of an idiot to realize that. It's sad, really.
  4. I'm sure that Ryan McLeod is glad he didn't end up signing...
  5. Same here, I'm using chrome mobile. I've always wanted to be able to go to the first/last page of a thread, just not like this.Did either of you guys figure out how to fix that? It just started happening to me right now.
  6. Boston Red Sox: First went to Boston in 2009, and fell in love with them. Since then, I've been back to Fenway twice. They're my favorite team in all of sports. New York Mets: My favorite NL team. 1) I believe in the "your enemy's enemy is your friend", 2) I have family in New York, and 3) their identity is awesome. Boston Bruins: Always had an interest in them, and became a serious fan during the 2011 Cup run. Buffalo Sabres: I know it's strange to cheer for two teams in the same division, but they're semi-local team, and I go down to games at least once or twice per year. They're starting to look really exciting now, and if they switch to the retros full-time, I think I'll convert. New England Patriots: Started watching them in the 04 Super Bowl, and never looked back. Nowadays, with my football interest waning, and them winning enough to have satisfied me as a fan, my fandom is becoming more and more casual. Boston Celtics: I don't really care about basketball that much, but if I had to pick a team, it would be them. Mississauga Steelheads: The only local team I support, but they're the most local team. I have season tickets, and I'll watch the OHL over the NHL any day of the week. New York City FC: TFC has always kinda bugged me, so I could never get behind them. I decided to cheer for NYCFC since I though it would be cool to get in on the ground floor with a team, and again, I have family in New York. I've had a lot of fun watching them this year, though I wish I could've gone down for a game. Arsenal FC: I used to be a Chelsea fan, but as I started to follow the EPL more closely, I started to take interest in the Gunners. Last year, I only missed three matches between the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League, and I haven't missed any so far this year. AC Milan: My best friend got me into them, and I became a serious fan when they won the Champions League in 2007. I got to see them in 2009 at Gillette Stadium against Inter, and my friend and I planned a trip to New York last summer to see them play, only for that match to get moved back here to Toronto. I'm still pissed off about that. National Teams: Canada, since I live here, and Italy and Germany due to family heritage.
  7. Just when I think this can't get any more bizzare, it does...
  8. I don't mind the curly w at all, but the nationals have such a nice script it is a shame they don't even use it on an alt jersey. This looks too awesome to be relegated to T-Shirts and Jackets: That does look good. That's the same script used on their current away jerseys right? What cap did they wear with those? It's actually an unused prototype (unfortunately), but I presume they would've worn the home caps with those.
  9. I see it the same way as a second NHL team in Toronto: The population and the love for the game is there, but the current team is too much of an institution in the city for another team to build their own fanbase.
  10. Looks pretty nice, but what the hell is up with these upside-down trees?
  11. Are you saying any of us would be surprised? Is Tukwila way out there or something? I'm pretty optimistic about Seattle as an NHL market, so I'm curious why everyone's discussing it as a bad idea. Seattle itself would be fine, but having the rink in the suburbs is most often a bad idea (see: Glendale and Sunrise).
  12. "We don't look to move into ECHL markets" Except you literally just moved into three...
  13. Yeah, the same thing happened to me yesterday; I got directed to a page from 2012. Weird.
