  1. All four of them nod to past Cavs unis, in color scheme.
  2. If Nike ruined the Bulls uniforms and Adidas ruined the Bulls uniforms...maybe the suppliers aren't the problem.
  3. LMAO. This is my favorite stolen concept: http://wallpart.com/poster/jpdesign-428-184189567610 A quick mockup image that I did to show off a template technique.
  4. I think it looks pretty nice on mobile. The like & quote area seems a little large but other than that it's pretty clean. Seems to scroll more smoothly too. Can't wait to see the finished product.
  5. What's even better, is that his other project is not completely original either. He mentions, "Diego Guevara" as inspiration for his Atlantic City FC project. Diego's logo: Jamgo's logo: At least he acknowledged it this time...I guess.
  6. Even in a realistic template, it's best to have your shadow/highlight layers on top, and your graphics underneath. Go back and look at the first few pages of this thread, Darth does a good job laying it out.
  7. You're in luck: http://roughriders.milbstore.com/store_contents.cfm?store_id=168&dept_id=-1&product_id=59928
  8. I don't think so. The two are done from different enough perspectives, in different enough styles that I think you both came to it on your own.
  9. Funny story about that: our agency actually won a pitch for their business and started on our first real assignment for them the day they went bankrupt. But that was only the first time we didn't get paid for a project. Sometime last year they got bought by another company and resurrected. Shortly after, they contacted us and we began working on a new project for them. We finished our end of the project and never saw a dime. Maybe that's their strategy to avoid bankruptcy this time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  10. It is tricky. And what sucks is that it's not limited to freelancers, or small clients either. I did some work at my job or a certain cream-filled yellow snack cake maker that we got stiffed on. Even with a signed estimate and statement of work, people can just be :censored:ty sometimes. Needless to say, we won't be working with them again.
  11. Honestly, I think you just have to hope that your watermark does it's job. If people see a design and like it, then spot your watermark, hopefully they'll find their way back to you.
  12. I agree with 2 & 3. I grew up in OKC, and the whole Redhawks thing was pretty "meh." You never saw many people repping Redhawks gear, especially less so after the Thunder came to town. But I think any town would choose nostalgia over something new. Of course people would want the 89ers back, 1889 has a historical significance to the area. The Dodgers don't. But now the important part: they just announced they will sell Dodger Dogs at the games. So in that aspect alone, the rebrand is a win.
  13. Full style guide: https://localtvkfor.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/okc-dodgers-media-kit.pdf In a related note: it's safe to say Oklahoma City likes the color blue. Thunder = double blue. 66ers rebrand to become to literally be called the Blue. Barons are predominately blue. And now the Redhawks go full-on Dodger Blue.
  14. This was mentioned on the mothership yesterday, but now it's official: the OKC Redhawks (previously '89ers) of AAA baseball are now affiliated with the LA Dodgers. And I just saw it in the megathread – guess I missed that. Effective today, the franchise will be known as the Oklahoma City Dodgers. Old Logos: New logos: That new OKC monogram is so good. Definitely better than the old one, which was prone to being misread as something inappropriate. Everything else is, "meh."
