  1. Can you make a field without the sideline boxes?

    1. pitt6pack

      pitt6pack

I always put one out with the final field design after the game. Expect that Monday at some point, unless my wife gives birth

  2. Wow for the first time since Super Bowl 50 the NFC end zone will be on the left side of the field.
  3. can you show the field without the sideline boxes? Thanks
  4. I wish they would go back to the double helmets in the end zones like they did from Super Bowls 8-30, that was classic. Are you, by any chance, gonna do every teams end zone like they did during that era? That would be cool!
  5. Yes Super Bowl 27 was bad, but the Bills did hang with the Cowboys (they were up 7-0 after a blocked punt) until the end of the first half. The Broncos were never in the game this past Super Bowl. Whatever could go wrong did go wrong. I guess you could make the case that Super Bowl 24 was just as bad, but San Francisco was way better then Denver that season. Peyton Manning was having arguably the best season ever by a QB and the Broncos were favored to beat Seattle. Talk about ending the season with a thud! Other bad Super Bowls were Super Bowl 20 (Bears-Patriots) and 29 (49ers-Chargers) but those were mismatches. Both Seattle and Denver were the #1 seeds in both conferences going into Super Bowl 48.
  6. I agree that the Super Bowl 48 field was the worst. In years past you got to see the field first on media day, but because media day was held indoors (I think it was Madison Square Garden), we didn't get to see the field until the morning of the game (and it looked like something they did overnight). From reversing the Seahawks logo and NFC symbol in the end zone, and not painting the sidelines this is a field I disliked immediately. And it was also the worst Super Bowl ever played, can you name one that was worse? I couldn't believe that a Peyton Manning led team would play so bad (and seem to give up right after the first snap of the game). When I watch the Super Bowl all I really want to see is a good game, because these games are always put in a time capsule. You did a great job on all these fields! It was fun reliving Super Bowl history!! Awesome job!!!
  7. I don't know why the NFL changed the design of the Super Bowl field, the helmets in the end zones were classic! But putting them on the field was not. I really hate it when they change tradition. This was the 1st Super Bowl played after the death of former commissioner Pete Rozelle and I wonder if the change in design had anything to do with it.
  8. This game was over a minute into the game when Steve Young hit Jerry Rice with a long TD pass. The 94 49ers where one of the best teams in the Super Bowl era, while the 94 Chargers were one of the worst. The 49ers were 18 point favorites and covered the spread by winning by 23, and it wasn't even that close. This was one of the biggest mismatches in Super Bowl history and was the worst Super Bowl I had seen until this years At least SD put up double digits. Can't say the same about SB 35 and 48. Those two are the worst in my opinionYes Super Bowl XXXV was bad but the part where they scored three TDs in 30 seconds (a pick six and back to back kickoff returns for TDs) made that part of the game exciting. Super Bowl XXXV also had the worst starting QBs (Trent Dilfer and Kerry Collins) in Super Bowl History. I can't think of another Super Bowl that had two worse starting QBs. 10. Do you have a link to the picture, I've been having a hard time seeing a difference in the grass shades from this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptBLyeK0HDQ I don't have a link, I was going to post a picture I saw in an old Super Bowl book that I have, but I couldn't figure out how to post the picture. If you don't mind giving me your email address (I will understand if you don't) I will send you the picture.
  11. There were different shades of grass on the Super Bowl XVIII field. I was going to show you a picture of what I meant but I it wouldn't let me post the picture. But I think every Super Bowl field played on grass had every 5 yards be either dark green and then light green, like you had it on the Super Bowl XVII field.
  12. The Raiders became the first Wild Card team to win the Super Bowl and pretty much outplayed Philadelphia in every facet of the game this day. Wonder how the Raiders would've fared had they played Dallas in the Super Bowl (and not Philadelphia). The Raiders would of beaten Dallas. Remember, there QB was Danny White, not Roger Staubach. Staubach had retired a year earlier.
  13. I think they had to put the stripes on the AFC helmet in the Bengals end zone in Super Bowls XVI and XXIII. If they didn't it would of looked like the Browns helmet.
  14. I was watching the Super Bowl VI highlights on You Tube and I think you have the endzones reversed in that one.
  15. On the Super Bowl IX field in the Steelers endzone you have one of the earholes white and the other one yellow. Just wanted to let you know in case you didn't notice. Otherwise your doing a great job on these fields! Keep up the good work!!
