  1. I work for an MiLB team, and my wife brings the boys to games because it's a fun thing to do with family. Our ballpark has a splash pad, so a change of clothes is a necessity, even for the one not in diapers. And when I'm not working, we go to games elsewhere, so things like ear protection for the kids are good to have. A bag is always necessary. Point is, parents take kids to events. Unreasonable bag limits like the Bruins' new policy just add another barrier to entry. I get requiring clear bags and banning larger bags for safety reasons, but there was nothing wrong with the 12x12x6 standard.
  2. Considering the child's father works in professional sports, yeah.
  3. As a father of a kid still in diapers, 6x4 is an absurd limit. Unless the venue is going to supply diapers and wipes (at a minimum!) free of charge, they've got to allow bags big enough to accommodate parents. What happened to 12x12x6 being the industry standard? They just changed the policy at FedEx Forum to 6x8x2, but they didn't do anything about my more reasonably-sized 12x12 bag to the game I went to last month. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  4. As someone from west TN and who lived in the Memph-ish area for nearly a decade, I can say this court concept does fit locally.
  5. I am 99.9% sure that is a decal and not an actual court. Zooming in on this photo, and I see zero depth to the "wood." There are also no media boundary markings on the end lines, and the baskets are "hanging" off the court. That sucker is flush with the concrete. Not to mention, but the wood texture looks fake, and the design is honestly too conservative to actually be used by the Clippers. This is likely just for the press conference, which has been noted to be to announce an ASG.
  6. FWIW, at least one company is making it happen somewhat quickly: To keep it on topic, I like the new Honda "H" badge. It will likely grow on me like the new Nissan logo has.
  7. This is anecdotal, but I work for a Minor League team. When we run auctions on game-worn jerseys, the button-down designs consistently do better than pullovers. I think it seems more "authentic" or premium because of both the tradition of button-down baseball jerseys and the construction adding a perceived quality, kind of like stitched numbers vs. heat pressed.
  8. I literally ONLY know about this league's existence from this message board.
  9. Go with their second Reverse Retro template, but modernize the number font, *maybe* tweak the modern crest to add silver somehow, and wear a navy bucket. (Photo for reference; I'm not Photoshopping it right now.) I honestly didn't think this was a problem when they wore navy helmets at home, the first few years after the rebrand.
  10. Nashville Predators honored former-GM David Poile with a banner on Wednesday night: Couldn't find a clean photo of just the banner, but it matches the style of the Pekka Rinne banner installed previously with the initials "DP" in place of the jersey number:
  11. Honestly been wanting the Preds to wear their gold buckets on the road with the white jerseys (and bring back navy helmets at home). So I'm okay with this!
  12. This isn't a tournament game. Groups are still within the conferences, and the next tourney games are next Friday 11/10.
  13. Assuming you are in the States, how are you watching NPB games?
  14. The Bally RSNs have debuted a new graphics package for the NBA middle-of-the-season Tournament. Bumpers and whatnot feature the team logos on 3D gold basketballs on what I'd describe as one of those tabletop planetary movement models, like this: (Google says this is called an orrery!) Most notably, the full-width scorebug has gone into dark mode, which makes it a little more bearable IMO.
  15. When's the last time there was an NHL regular season game with both teams wearing dark helmets? I'm getting flashbacks to my days working in the SPHL, where every team had just one set of buckets, and most likely black or blue.
