Jamikel
Don't get me wrong, I like the whole concept, but......am I the only one seeing the original movie jerseys in this? Not point for point in the design, but coloring wise. The green and yellow, yes, but male mallards are green with yellow/orange bills, so the scheme makes sense. The original movie jerseys were green, yellow, black and purple. I didn't really pay any attention to that until you mentioned it, but seeing it now doesn't change my opinion of the concept at all. I still love it.Plus, his concept doesn't have the red gloves, which are what really made those uniforms go from good to great.
ChuckDownfield
Wow, both of these concepts are amazing. I'm glad you chose to do the Ducks and Thrashers, as both teams desperately need a rebrand. I would love to see what you could do with the Lightning. GIANTS_REDSOX_CELTICS_LIGHTNING_BULLS
PhilliesPhan1325
The logo and wordmark are great. I like the drop of burgandy. The uniforms are good. My only thing is that the alternate logo looks, for lack of a better word, weird to me. But overall much better than what they wear now. "The 0-2 pitch... SWING AND A MISS! STRUCK HIM OUT! capn89
I have to say I am not feeling the Thrashers. I hate how there's no yellow in the actual uniform design of the road jersey.
chickenfish13
The thrashers are beautiful. I am not huge on jerseys, so I dont know, but I think you did a good job. I love the primary logo, and the secondary is simple, but nice. Great work, cant wait for the flames. dribbble
chestnutz
Like I said, don't know much about uniforms, so I'll just comment on the logos...Absolutely amazing, not gonna lie. I would buy a shirt with that logo on it definitely. It's sleek, modern, simple, and intimidating. A+ on that. The wordmark is also fantastic, I've always been a huge fan of ones that have the 3d solid drop shadow with the perspective up (don't know how else to describe it haha)It seems like you've improved your skills in an incredible amount the past few months. You've raised the quality of your work leaps and bounds to me. I REEEALLY hope you continue this project for a while. If you do, and your concepts keep coming out like your Thrashers one, I think it could potentially be up there with GhettoFarmBoy's NHL redeisgn series. erikas | go birds | dribbble
LEWJ
That Thrashers set is top of the line.I'd just like to see a bit more yellow on the white jersey.Other than that it's an A++ | BROWNS | BUCKEYES | CAVALIERS | INDIANS |
Jamikel
Okay, now that I've had time to digest this Thrashers concept. . .First of all, bravo. A great concept. There are only a few things I would even consider changing. First, I would make the side stripes go to the bottom of the jersey, like in the alternate, instead of making a U-shape. I just think the white jersey needs a little bit more white, and this would do the trick. Second, the alternate jersey doesn't need an alt logo. It's different enough that it would still be distinct enough even if it used the (much better) primary logo. I actually think I like that template slightly more than the home/road. Third, I'm a believer that a third jersey should add MORE color to a team's look, not less. My favorite alts all do this: Carolina Panthers, Milwaukee Brewers ball-in glove, the Chargers throwbacks before they ruined their perfect uniform set. I probably would have gone with a gold alt instead of navy. Once again, this is a great concept. I had to stretch to even come up with those three. dgnmrwrw
Thanks to all for the comments on the Thrashers. Glad to get such a (generally) positive response. I'll look at tweaking a few things and maybe get some update ideas posted before I move on to the next team. dgnmrwrw
Ok, couple of quick notes on the Thrashers. First, I updated the home and away jerseys according to Jamikel's suggestion. I'm sure I had a reason for doing it the way I had it originally, but it does look better with the additional open space on the waist. Also, another thing Jamikel suggested was to use the primary logo on the alternate jersey. I wanted to avoid this, because I wanted the alternates to be very distinct from the home and away. But I did a very quick mock up, and I have to admit, it does look nice:Thoughts on whether this is better or more appropriate? dgnmrwrw
#3: Boston BruinsObviously, not a lot of changes here. I really wanted to find a way to change that logo, but nothing I tried looked any better. I really think the Bruins' current iteration of their identity is the best they've ever had. Everything works great together. I may still go back and change it, because I'd really like to do at least some sort of minimal update to each logo. Only a small change to the wordmark--I lost the big BOSTON for the sake of smaller type. The uniforms are also only slightly tweaked. Basically, I was going for more consistency in the striping. So I dumped the semi-outline on the shoulder yoke and changed the sock stripes to a 3-stripe pattern like the jerseys have. I also dropped the logo from the shoulders. To me the B's don't need it and it clutters things a bit. Also, and I'm probably alone on this, the shape and distortion of the "BOSTON" looks really weird to me.For the alternate, I used the 1924-25 Bruins jersey as inspiration--brown sweater with two yellow sleeve stripes. I tried to modernize it a bit, and I added a bear head logo I had created for another project (but I think it works pretty well here).Again, not many changes here. Boston is the team that I've changed the least (so far). HURRICANES | PANTHERS | WHITE SOX | WOLFPACK
JayLo1112
I think the brown jerseys are pretty fresh, as far as brown goes. and I'm glad you didn't make changes to the logo, but it'd be neat to see what you can come up with. I like this update for the bruins its not bad. your other sets are amazing as well especially the thrashers.Edit: actually I don't know about that logo you used on the front of the alt. its too modern. but otherwise its good. CAB
Is that a logo from your NFL spring league thread? It looks familiar.Anyway, the Bruins current look is great IMO, but these make it even better. Nice job once again.

joshhockey
I love all 3 sets so far but there is one minor thing I have always absolutely hated about the Bruins homes and that is the yellow socks. I know they're used to break up all the black but I just can't stand it. Whenever I watch them on TV, I'm always distracted by them and I think they should just use black socks. speedy
I'm going to have to pass on the Bruins set, for a few reasons. The yokes look incomplete after looking back in Bruins history, and now looking at your concept -- I feel it needs that extra yellow/white to complete it. The stripes on the road sweater/socks aren't doing it for me either. I realize this isn't your doing, its the teams, but I still feel they should have mimicked the home striping like in years past, just a personal preference though. With that said, while the alternate isn't my style, I love it. It's classy and simple, good work there.
charger77
I have to agree with Speedy here, the Bruins re-design seem to be a down grade from what they currently have.-Dan PotD May 11th, 2011looooooogodud: June 7th 2010 - July 5th 2012
Brass
I'm going with speedy on this one - the shoulders just look incomplete without the stripes. Also, I think the tie-down collar looks great on their current uniforms and I wouldn't want to see that leave. However, I love the yellow socks on the home uniform and the brown alternate is certainly a creative idea. Nice work. I'm looking forward to your concepts more and more as you pump out new ideas.
