Bombers unviel their jerseys tommorow:

Here is what the Bomber Store manager said about the jerseys:

I want to share the behind the scenes on the retro as I feel we owe the fans our method of madness on our take of history as we prepare to launch our second straight retro program.

Coming off a very successful Retro Program as a pilot project last year, the entire Leauge has now bought into the theme and all 8 teams will be part of Retro Week(s)

Due to our visibilty and success last year, we felt that we'd let other teams across the league pick their colours first, as 4 teams had to be dark and four teams had to be white jerseys.

After reseraching several hundred pictures on the intraweb and what limited archives we have, we found a program cover from 1960 when we hosted the Al's. We shared this with the League and especially the Al's as we wanted to create this look - it was a rare colour photo that showed us everything we needed, from socks, helmets, pants and Jersey.

Looking back through the 1960's we had lightning bolts on our helmets, numbers, stripes ( double and single) and relaized that we had to make it simple, yet focus on the "look" as a white jersey is plain as plain can get, however ensure the entire uniform is put together and the visual will come together.

Equipment and Retail worked very hard to ensure that we can maximize as much as we can off a white jersey, and when you see the entire look you'll understand what we went for.

Comparing this to last years jersey is tough( however we went 2-0 ) in those - not taking any credit - just pointing out facts.

We are well aware that our logo has stayed the same as that is what we found through the history, until the solid white W was introduced in the very late 1960's for the run of the 1970's.

We have already started the design process of the 1970 Retro for which I know a lot of you are waiting for ( May 15-18, 2010) release date.

I know Limited and exclusive is used a lot however this years supply compared to last year is 75% less, so don't wait too long. ( not a sales pitch, ok maybe a small one)

The entire Winnipeg Football Club is very excited to introduce the entire Retro Line Monday and we hope you enjoy it as much as we've enjoyed working on it for you.
