I know theres any on going joke about how espn.com is entirely part of the insider network. I was wondering if anybody knew any back door ways to read these articles without giving money to espn. Its probably worth a long shot but worth a try none the less.

God i know. That annoys me as well. I cant stand it when a guy tries to rip off three dollars from a multi billion dollar company. How will they ever get their fair share of the pie? :rolleyes:

Yes because it's not stealing if the company makes up for it.

Ok guys, walk into any Kroger you want and take a soda. We're a billion dollar company so we don't need the $1.99 we would have received for that 1-litre bottle of Coke. Just tell the cops it's ok because the company won't miss it. But then, why stop at just a soda. If we won't miss 2 bucks, we certainly wouldn't miss 10 dollars, right? Or 20?

When did the USoA become the United States of Entitlement? If you want it, pay for it. If you don't like the cost, deal with it. Justifying it because you're a little guy in a big pool doesn't work, especially if all the little guys drain the pool at once.

right on.

there is no justification for stealing, whether it be from Microsoft or the corner convenience store.

this has nothing to do with "computer savvy", but more to do with a lack of ethics. if you don't like that espn doesn't offer more free content, do something about it. personally, i have switched to a "bare bones" basic cable, where i no longer get ESPN....and i don't really miss it.

but that's just me.

The NCAA Lacrosse Championships were attended by over 47,000 people in Philadelphia. It's traditionally played on Memorial Day. I'd say it's worthy of being broadcast on a sports network.

The NCAA Lacrosse Championships are a Memorial Day tradition. This year was the 4th straight year the Championship game attendance record was broken. Considering you're from the hotbed of Lacrosse, you shouldn't be informed of this by someone from a Lacrosse wasteland like southern Louisiana.

Besides, Lacrosse owns. Heretic. :mad::P

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008

A subscription to read the articles by the espn.com writers would be good. However, when they post an insider article that's written by someone not on staff, you can usually go to that writer's website (or the site of the paper they write for) and read the exact same article.

Just pay the $6.95 per month. It's worth it, and also includes a subscription to ESPN The Magazine.

Exactly. I had been a subscriber to the magazine, got my 2nd bill for 40 or 50 bucks and cancelled it and signed up for Insider for 30 bucks a year plus the magazine. Worth it for that.

I've decided to give up hope for all sports teams I follow

If y'all hate ESPN so much, then why do you want to read any of their stuff? I'm a proud subscriber to ESPN Insider and I love it. To me, it's worth it.

As a sportswriter myself, I find it impossible to slog through ESPN magazine (I refuse to put The in there). Maybe it's the size of the page. But the writing is better not only in SI but in most big-city dailies.
