jkrdevil
Might as well restart the regular season discussion thread for the NHL. Some news today, Brendan Shanahan will sign with the New Jersey Devils. He isn't signed but will sign and join at date to be determined. Brendan Shanahan is a New Jersey Devil once again.Devils President, General Manager and CEO Lou Lamoriello announced Saturday that the former Devil and three-time Stanley Cup champion has agreed in principle to return to the club that drafted him second overall in 1987.Shanahan has not yet signed a contract, which Lamoriello said will be worked out, "in the next couple of days."There is no timetable set for when Shanahan will see his first game action this season, but he is expected to be more than just a power-play specialist. Lamoriello confirmed that Shanahan will be skating on his own in the meantime.http://devils.nhl.com/team/app/?service=pa...rticleid=403403No word on what number he will wear. Both 11 (his original Devil number) and 14 (what he has worn elsewhere) are taken.

Both 11 (his original Devil number) and 14 (what he has worn elsewhere) are taken. He wore #19 in St. Louis. Right now I see Travis Zajac is wearing that, doubt as if he's fond enough of the number to work out a switch for it. As for the merging of all "Official" topics, it just didn't make sense to me. Yeah, you made your point, but it was at the expense of conversations going on, and it seems a particular moderator didn't take other people's thoughts into consideration when he did it. But I digress, it's over and done with. Now let's talk some NHL! On 4/10/2017 at 3:05 PM, Rollins Man said: what the hell is ccslc? Â Â

NEW.ERA
Flames may be the hottest team in the NHL pardon the pun but I'm sure the Bruins fans will have something to say about who's HotKipper playing like his Vezina year and the problem in the past is the lack of secondary scoring we have at least 6 players who are on pace for 20+ goals and possibly 3 of those guys can reach 30 as I have said in the past I'm loving this season  JETS|PACK|JAYS|NUFC|BAMA|BOMBERS|RAPS|ORANJE|

IronChefShark
Its good for the overall stability of the NHL to see teams like San Jose and Washington among the league's elite and teams like Phoenix and Florida pushing for playoff spots.competitive sunbelt teams = good. no matter what anybody says. Neon_Matrix
Its good for the overall stability of the NHL to see teams like San Jose and Washington among the league's elite and teams like Phoenix and Florida pushing for playoff spots. But it is bad that teams like Toronto, Pittsburgh, Colorado and the New York Islanders sputtering downwards. These are the teams which need to be at the top in order to keep the NHL healthy and feed money to those teams which can't buy fans even if they are winning. STL FANATIC
The Blues go for 3 in a row tomorrow at their seasons half-way.A win would put them 8 back of a playoff spot.Believe you me, the Blues will make the playoffs when its all said and done. Sport
Nikita Filatov, fresh off the world juniors scores a hat trick in only his 5th NHL game in a big win over Minnesota and the Jackets place themselves 1 point out of the playoffs after going 6-2 in their last 8. This is all mind you with 8 regulars injured.
Shane Does Art
Well that Rangers game last night knocked out the little bit of optimism I had left in me.There's no point in making a coaching change at this point, no matter who they'd bring in, I highly doubt they'd be able to win that many games. Not that I want them to fire Hartsburg.Same goes for trading away Spezza, I'd definitely wait until after the draft lottery to make a move with him involved (Though I'd rather see him stay all together) He's been playing much better compared to the shmucks he's forced to play with. This team has me completely baffled, I don't understand how they can play so poorly, we've seen alot of these guys play well before, they're not overly old, none of them have had major injuries to slow them down. Yet they all look like there mind is somewhere else. Ugh... Hi, how are you?
