My (Personal) Football League Redesign

Sounds good C Jay Z. I look forward to the New York Lightning. I am curious to see what you come up with for the logo as most sport teams who have gone with the Lightning have not produced interesting or creative logos.

I'm bumping the Lightning back a few again, I've got some logos but I want to make some finishing touches on them before posting.

Admiral, I know i've used blue alot (it is my favorite color) but the next few are going to vary in color a bit, so you don't have to worry about that.

I very much like the style of your Dragons set. The robo/mecha dragon is a very nice take on what is usually a straight-forward image. It looks good on the white helmet, and I'm sure you wouldn't want to overhaul the concept this late in the game, but I wonder how it would look on a dark blue helmet with a silver/gray outline.

The uniforms are also quite nice. The striping and piping are well thought out and executed. Good job on this one.

they only thing with the black helmet is, that makes 4 of 6 helmets are black. Silver might look nice, but it would be a lot closer to the Carolina Panthers.

So here we have the Los Angeles Aztecs. Being a rather newer team, I decided to go modern. I chose the name Aztecs because of the native haritage in L.A. (not knowing that there had already been a L.A. Aztecs in pro sports). The uniforms, I'd say, are a mix between the Cardinals and Ravens of the NFL. The primary logo is a native Aztec with a red headress. The secondary is an 'L-A' monogram in two-tone red with two feathers, as used on the pants. The script is in the same style as the secondary.

EDIT: Went with red.

the logo is awesome. I am partial to the red helmet because there is no red helmets yet. There seems to be a long jam of black helmets. I think a gold helmet might look really nice.

i think the color scheme works well... but again, it seems like these uniforms are starting to be more and more similar. this looks almost exactly like the Rhinos except the rhinos have the second stripe on the shoulders extend all the way down.

They wont get anymore similar from here, I've put most of the conservative teams first.

A few out there helmet ideas. With the Knights, maybe have the blue from the logo be the helmet stripe. With the Dragons, you could use the wings on the helmet, a la the Eagles. You could also do something similar with the Aztecs and make the head-dress the helmet.

the aztecs logo is well put together as far as being a solid logo, but i am very confused as to why the man is wearing a cardinal head or why a cardinal is eating a man's head. maybe i just dont know something that everyone knows about aztecs, but a logo should be understandable to the average fan and even to the slightly dumber than average. it seems like a very creative logo. i just dont understand it...

ok nevermind my last comment. i just looked up the SDSU logo you were referring to and apparently i am the one in the dark about aztec headdress. that being said i think you should get rid of the neck or move it under his head more. but for the most part its a nice logo

Wow, I'm very impressed by that Aztecs logo. Definitely your best so far, and it looks great on the helmet. I'd keep it on a red helmet, but maybe give it a thin gold outline. The jerseys are nice too, but as with your Rhinos concept, the thick white collar is throwing me again. It's probably just my personal taste, but it looks out of place since there's no other white striping. Very bright and jarring to my eye. But that's a minor complaint. Good job on this.

What i tried todo with the neck part is specifically address who is doing what to who, like you said. If I got rid of the neck I feel that it would look like the bird is eating the man. If i add it, like now, then it looks more like the man is wearing the bird.

Anyways, dgnmrwrw, Ill add a thin outline, I think it would definately make it pop. As for the collars on the unis, what other color(s) would you suggest? i made it white to go better with the white pants

I was going to suggest this too. I think it could really work for a lot of these team, since there are so many creative names that lend themselves to cool helmet ideas.

What do you mean by uniform design history? Like the past unis for these teams? I also have all of my first franchises' logos, I could post those.
