Baltimore Mountaineers? Have you ever even Googled Baltimore? What's next the Miami Blizzards or the Denver Sailors? Or are you copying the NBA with the Utah Jazz and the LA Lakers!

As I mentioned on the first post, I said that some cities may have no relation with their name.

Any more comments before I post the next team?

The update is pretty good. Obviously, I like the helmet. And the unis definitely have been pushed away from the Chargers, which is very good. My only disappointment is the fact that the green wasn't played up more. I think your league could use some green. But, you can't please everyone, eh?

Looking forward to the rest.

I recently got my camera working again, here's the Lightning tertiary logo. Anyways, here's the Portland Huskies.

#11 Portland Huskies

Up Next: #12 Phoenix Skyhawks

For this concept, I decided to go more in depth and imply more meaning into my logos. The fact that the Portland Huskies are getting completely revamped here gave me the freedom to do so, although I kept the colors. The primary is a white husky head with a purple and orange outline. The secondary uses the Husky head from the primary in a circle crest with Mt. Hood in the background. After some research, I confirmed that Mt. Hood is the tallest mountain in Oregon, so I decided on using that idea to fit into the 'wilderness' theme along with the husky. I also made a third logo, which is a husky paw with a hidden 'Ph' between the paws. After creating that logo, I felt it was empty, so I threw in some shading and decided on the subtle hidden monogram. The script is a slanted 'Huskies', which I'm not too sure I nailed.

I like the color match up. It is nice to see a little more subtle, throwback look rather than a modern style uniform. I would like to see the white jersey with blue pants. i think it would look really nice. I am glad to see you are updating this again. I really like this one.

Very solid work on the Huskies. The primary logo is well done, and I like the paw logo (though I'm not seeing the "PH"). As someone else mentioned, the circular logo isn't quite coming together. Right now it's an illustration with the primary logo thrown in.

You might be able to integrate the husky head more effectively by connecting the orange outline from the circle to the orange outline on the head, which would give you a circle with a ragged bottom right edge. Or, scrap the head altogether and do a silhouetted full-body husky in front of the mountain, maybe including a PH monogram from the wordmark.

The unis are nice. It is good to see a more traditional look once in a while. I like all the orange, it really stands out nicely against the dark purple and brightens things up. My only concern with the uniforms is the lack of TV numbers.

Thanks for the comments. I can see that the secondary isn't getting much love here, I'll have to update that. I think a full body silhouette is probably the best idea, but I don't want to ruin the contrast with the top and the bottom of the circle. The top half is mostly brighter orange and white, while the bottom is purple. I just don't know a way that won't throw the whole balance off.

As for the paw logo, I've outlined the letters here. I'm guessing it's too subtle enough for anyone too see it, I might need to fix that.

I didn't want to crowd the uniforms by throwing in tv numbers at the end, but I guess I gould dump the shoulder logo and throw them in there.

yeah i think this is a really nice look. The secondary logo, i like the idea, but i think it just needs a little refining. Possibly hiding the mountains and trees in the Husky or hiding the Husky inside the tree/mountains might be a place to start.

I tried to look at the PH in the paw, and i just couldn't see it. Either way, it is a nice logo, with or without the PH.

I like most of your work but the helmets. One thing I would change - for instance - the knights helmet. Instead of using the logo on the sides, make the helmet look like the knights helmet. Extend the lines from the face mask onto the side of the helmet to resemble the knights face piece and maybe add a blue stripe on the top or even the feathered plum on the top/back of the helmet. Try to break the consistency of making the same design over and over - maybe have one team be just a little bit different.

other than that, you have some solid design ideas - just be a little more creative in this 'fantasy' league

This entire project displays very solid, thought out concepts. Have you thought of the wordmark in place of the huskie on the secondary for Portland?

I could try. My intentions on the secondary were to make it more of a crest. I'll see what I could do.

EDIT: 700th post

Yeah, maybe with the wordmark it would look too much like a baseball logo. Maybe just make the huskie head larger and centered, but just lower than the mountains.
