JH42XCC
I think the Baltimore team is called the Mountaineers due to the Appalachian Mountains running through a part of Maryland and that the city of Baltimore is to the east of the Appalachians.Just my opinion though. CJworks
#12 Phoenix SkyhawksUp Next: #13 Montana GrizzliesFor this particular concept, I wanted to try and go more modern, with an interesting name. The name 'Skyhawks' was originally odopted from the Carolina Skyhawks, one of the very first teams. The name, to me, was very intriguing, and I felt I could go back and try and modernize one of the older teams, this time with a new city. My initial thoughts were that I wanted to try and incorperate some 'Arizona' themes into the concept, so I went with a variation of Cardinal red, midnight blue, and moonlit silver, as I like to call it. The primary is a red hawk head outlined in navy and sand. I tried and tried with this logo many times, I used a navy head, a white one, and a seahawk blue one. I didn't really like that the blue one didn't have very many options on an outline, since there really isn't anything in the color pallette that's darker than the blue. The seahawk blue didn't look too bad, but it looked empty without any trace of red in them, so that idea was done for. I tried the Cardnial red and it look pretty slick, it balanced the colors fairly well in the unis especially. The secondary is a shield with a 'PHX' script under a soaring hawk. The tertiary is that same 'PHX' script. That sort of idea has been sitting in my head for awhile, and I figured this was the sort of team to test it on. The script is in the same style as the secondary and tertiary logos, 'Phoenix' over 'Skyhawks'. The uniforms is where I went a bit crazy here. After all of these sublimated themes nowadays, (NFL Pro Bowl unis, NBA All-star games, NO Hornets Mardi Gras') I decided to jump into the mix. I added a sublimated arizona flag on the lower back of the uniform, todo so I had to whip up a suitable template. I wanted to make this very subtle without ruining the esscence of the unis.HomeAwayAlternateLet me know whatcha guys think. **UPDATED 6/8/10** Dribbble | Twitter | Facebook | Portfolio
Chapeeko
Overall, I like it but the secondary logo and script bother me. I don't really like the desert because it looks like it was just slapped on there. I think the home jersey needs more red (maybe outline the pants stripe) the away needs more red (maybe outline pant stripe) and alternate needs more blue. I love the primary logo and I like the concept overall just needs a few tweaks.

ESTONES6
I like the script. Most of the previous scripts looked like the same kind of font... this Skyhawk concept you went outside your box. With the silhouette in front of the PHX, i really liked it. Not sure how it works for a secondary logo, though. Maybe making the silhouette inside the letters rather than underneath might make it work better for a secondary.glad to see these are back. crashcarson15
Ah, so that explains why some of these guys' names would be the same as NFL players Really though, nice work here. I love the script.

The city of Phoenix flag looks more like this. But anyway......(to C Jay Z): I think the Arizona state flag silhouette should be inside the numbers. Other than that, great work on the Phoenix Skyhawks. Also, just curious, but I didn't know you created these teams on Madden NFL 10. Is that true? Is that true?I originally created the teams about 2-3 years before I actually played them against one anothr, and I started doing that in Madden in '07 or so, with each their own roster, field, and management. CJworks
#13 Montana GrizzliesUp Next: #14 Cincinnati VulturesThis team has been rather consistant with color schemes through it's 3 year history, and dating back to it's days as the Montana Wolves and the Montana Bucks, with some shade of blue and gold. Now, as the Grizzlies, they currently have a midnight navy, 'Saints' gold, and silver, which is used as an accent color. This team was also hard to stay original with, there are only so many affective ways to render a grizzly, and the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA especially rendered it best. I wanted to stay away from that, however, and wanted to make it look more fierce. The primary is a navy grizzly head roaring with a silver outline. I've also finished up the secondary logo I said I was going todo, which is a bear's arm clawing the letter 'M'. The script is Grizzlies with claw marks in the G and S. I decided to throw in a throwback logo, a blue ram in a gold outline. (Yes, I realize that a buck is a type of deer, and not a ram, but there's no point in fixing it now.) This is an earlier version of the posted pic, I believe that this set was one of their best.HomeAwayAlternateThrowbackWell, let me know what you guys think.**UPDATED 6/7/10** Dribbble | Twitter | Facebook | Portfolio
skier14
I have been waiting for the next one for a long time. It looks great. One minor thing that I see quickly is that the home and away sleeve stripe is visible on their background color, maybe use another color so it has the 3 stripe rather than just the middle one visible.
