Nice updates to the primary. It's much smoother now. I dont know what it is though, like GeoTheo said, it does have a slight pony feel. It might be in the perfectly groomed mane since I imagine mustangs to have wildly flowing hair. I dont know. Either way, it is really really minor because this has enough motion and ferocity in it for it be a mustang.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for an abstract name like "Rage"!

#26 Milwaukee Rage

Up Next: #27 San Jose Outlaws

With this team, I knew from the get-go that I wanted to represent Rage with a buck. These animals typically have spurts of rage which often results in dangerous (and sometimes territorial) fights with other deer. I felt that it both worked well for the name cand area, Racine, Wisconsin. At first I was real unsure about color scheme, I wanted a primarily dark color paired with a medium tone for the deer, while the uniforms are heavy with that darker color. I decided that a midnight green like the Philadelphia Eagles wear would look nice paired with a lighter desaturated red. I tried to keep the primary logo simple (I've been using alot of shields lately), which is a stylized depiction of a charging buck. The secondary is an R with antlers with the outline representing the other R with antlers (Racine Rage, and a buck has two pairs of antlers). I tried out a new Toronto Blue Jays-esque wordmark treatment on a custom wordmark.

The uniforms are where I had a bit of trouble. I wanted to keep them simple (I felt it looked best that way), yet when I got rid of the red of the uniforms, it didn't give off that "Rage" feel. I kept the numbers upright instead of italicized just to give it a bit more balance. I ultimately settle on this, but I'm still open to ideas.

The next two teams are already done, which means only two teams left to render. I'd love to see how you guys feel about this one, I'm open to all ideas.

Great buck logo. Really great sense of motion. Not so sure about the wordmark, may be beveled TOO hardcore/thick.

That helmet is awesome too. I think something may be off on the antlers in the logo, like they're not in the right position (at least the far one).

I am amazed at your ability to produce such high qualityproducts in sort amounts of time. TheRage set looks great. I dont know if thestripe on the helmet is necessary, but its not bad either. I'm also not a huge fan of the wordmark, butoverall this set is great. I lookforward to seeing more.

I think I've mentioned this before on here, but I just dont see Racine being a big enough town to be in a league with the likes of New York, etc... but I guess you could say the same for Green Bay in the NFL. Then again, Green Bay is it's own distinct town and Racine is nothing more than a suburb or an extension of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Even in the 4 major sports, if the team's stadium is located in a suburb, they still name it after the dominant city. so why not just Milwaukee Rage?

Anyways, I like the style of your logos. They are very professional looking and have a lot of motion.

The antlers seem to be more like horns. I just see one point on each antler. I know that having too many extensions off the antlers can become overly detailed and messy, so you dont want that, but you could still add 1 or 2 more "prongs" just so they look like antlers.

I like the font. Others said they think otherwise, but I think it looks great.

On the helmet, maybe try it without the center stripe. It just seems out of place. The Eagles and Vikings, both teams that have helmets with something extending back from the front do not have that stripe down the middle. Im sure most colleges and high schools with similar helmets dont either. I know then you wont have any red on the helmet but you could change the highlights on the helmet antlers to red.

This makes me want to go back and re-do my Fury logo because the general style of this is very good.

I forgot to mention this, I feel the same way, Racine seems way out of place compared to the other markets.

I agree with jaha on the antlers in the primary and the wordmark (I think it's really sharp). I also agree with the others that the helmet stripe needs to go.

However, other than that this is one of my favorites! I love the antlers on the helmet. I remember seeing someone do that with a Milwaukee Bucks football concept, and I really liked it. The uniforms look great too. I love the simplicity of them and the silver numbers. My only gripe is the stripe on the white pants. I would make it red since the stripe on the white jersey is red.

Racine Rage: The team could do without that red stripe on the helmet and may be better called the "Milwaukee Rage" (since after all, Racine is part of the larger Milwaukee CSA) or even the "Wisconsin Rage". But the uniforms, logos, and wordmark look excellent nonetheless.

I figure one thing, Racine Rage would be a better name for our other semipro team than Racine Threat (and one thing I figure, if Threat is what you ultimately went with, you ran out of good name ideas before you had any). I'd have called em the Milwaukee Rage or Lake Michigan Rage, leaning towards the latter cus this is less a pure Milwaukee suburb (West Allis, Mequon and Waukesha, places like those I'd call pure Milwaukee burbs), and moreso what you'd get if you grabbed some random chunks of Milwaukee and Chicago and threw the whole thing into a blender. Basically the southern tip of the Milwaukee area and the northernmost piece of Chicagoland at the same time.

That aside, nice work, though I'd get rid of the helmet stripe.

As someone else noted, my first impression of this is that it's way too similar to jaha's Fury identity, both conceptually and in execution/style. But if he doesn't mind, then I guess it's fine.

That aside, this concept is very good. I would only address a few small changes. First, the antlers do need a small addition of prongs. They are very close to being there, but are a little too smooth and rounded right now. Secondly, the kerning on the letterforms in the "RACINE" part of the wordmark needs another look. (The A seems especially close to the R, but I'd go back and re-kern everything by sight.) Thirdly, I'd just bite the bullet and make the stripe on the white pants red so that it matches all the other striping.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, most of them were spot on, updates in the original post as always:

-Switched markets, renamed the Milwaukee Rage (it was no big deal, I just thought Racine Rage rolled off the tongue better. The franchise was originally in Milwaukee anyways).

-Fixed the antlers on the helmets and logos.

-Fixed the white pants' stripe.

The Outlaws have been done and ready for posting, I'll put them up tomorrow.

I like the helmets better now without that stripe. At first I honestly wasnt in love with the antlers on the helmet, but now that I see it again, it looks very cool and somewhat intimidating with all the black. Im a fan of the jerseys and numbers as well. And the deer theme of course works perfect for any Wisconsin team.
