The playoff system is now needlessly complicated and includes seven division champs, five wild card teams, by-rounds, and lasts well into November.

Loves it.

Playoffs going well into November? oh brother.

And on the White Sox concept, how long you think it would be before the players started complaining about wearing all black uniforms through the summer?

Really Phoenix Snakes??? I do like the Phoenix Diamondbacks, but Snakes just sounds too hokey

"Snakes" > "D'Backs", and "Diamondbacks" is impossible to fit onto a uniform without looking dumb. Also, I just wanted to have a little fun with the whole realignment thing. Any comments on the White Sox jersey?

Really? The ones they have and have had in the past seem to fit them just fine and look great! Your team relocation's and new nicknames are bad and don't make any sense.

After the infamous 2028 season in which the Blue Jays, Mets, and Rockies each used eleven different on-field uniforms throughout the year, MLB institutes a rule that only one home uniform and one away uniform are allowed to be used during regular season/postseason games. Most teams now use a colored uniform on the road instead of grey

the reason teams have so many uniforms is to make as much money from the fanbase as possible. besides, for 150 years at the very least, variety and baseball have not been synonymous.

i also see no mention of the designated hitter. hopefully when both leagues became one the designated hitter was finally permanently gotten rid of.

Why the hell did you move the Rays? :(

Why? it's a good rule. but then again this is not the place to debate this...

Wow! I really love the colors and the scripts.

The hat logo is cool but I would consider dropping the sun. I would be interested to see the logo w/o the sky as well and maybe blue mountains on the purple hat.

Regardless, I would be very happy to see this in the future, although I doubt we'd be that lucky.

The Rockies concept is very nice, but the one thing that bothers me is that the outline of the "C" logo bevels in just slightly at the opening. I would prefer to see a smooth oval all the way around...but it's your concept. Again, nice work.

I like the logos for the Rockies, but I am not a fan of the colors. For some reason, they just don't seem right together. I would love to give a suggestion for the script, but the only think that comes to my mind, is that it seems kind of feminine. It might be the loop in the "k" or the fact that it seems bubbly, but it doesn't give me a strong feeling.

Interesting co-opting of the old NHL Rockies logo on the shoulder!

I do think the combination of light blue and purple, along with some of the extra loops in the lettering, is a little on the girly side. Elsewise a spiffy looking outfit!

Don't take moved teams too personally. I shouldn't have stressed the "realistic" aspect of this, more like an "alternate reality" created by my twisted mind.

Team #2:

Wow this is Beautiful the purple and sky blue color look great together I would be on board if they decided to do this in 35 years or so.

The Miami Marlins have kept their look fairly unchanged since the move to the new stadium in 2012.

They, like most other teams, have dropped the grey road jersey in favor of a color. Teams are split about 50/50 on using colored pants or white pants on the road. (No one wears a colored jersey and grey pants because, well that's just ugly.)

Yes, I am using this thread as an excuse to predict what the Marlins unis will look like next year (minus my diamond logo and plus a grey road jersey). I intentionally made them not look "good" by my taste, but rather current/trendy/what I could see them doing. This is something I am going to explore a little bit more in this series, especially since trends will undoubtedly be different in 10, 20, 30 years. Should make things interesting...
