College Football FBS Redesign

I like everything about Pitt except the white numbers/NOB on the blue jersey. I would make them gold to match the PITT logo.

For Rutgers, I think you should move the TV numbers down to the sleeves, replacing the knight head. It seems like it's a little too much on the helmet and sleeves. Also, Rockwell bolded (not Rockwell Bold) is a really close match to Rutgers actual font, if you want a little closer match.

I love this look for the Cards. I'm not feeling what they did with their current jerseys at all. The old school look just isn't fot them IMO. This modern look is perfect.

However I think the stripes, if thats what we're calling them, would look better with a black outline. Just because the wordmarks and numbers are outlined... Also, how does the black jersey look with red numbers instead of white???

I agree about Louisville's new look. It is just plain and boring, and what kills me the most is now WKU and UL uniforms are too similar. White Helmet, Red Jersey, with White Pants (however, WKU does plan to use a red pants like UL, but they also have a Gray uniform). Either way, this set would be better suited for U of L than their current. Good Job.

Louisville has always been white-red-white, at least since I've been paying attention to football.

Anyway, to the concept, I like it. I also don't like their new classic look. The only change I would make would be to get rid of the black stroke on the helmet stripe to make it consistent with the jersey and pant stripes.

Basically what I was saying is that their old look is much better because they had more choices, and that is why I was giving credit to WKU for at least keeping the Gray jersey and pants.

Okay, I misunderstood. Yes, they're much better with the different combinations.

Big East Conference

Alrighty, finally the Big East is completed. I went back and did some tweaks to Rutgers and Connecticut.

Cincinatti Bearcats

- For the Bearcats I wanted to fix the problem with their current pants being too bulky, so I made a more streamlined pants design and brought the bearcat claws to the shoulders. Another change was the addition of trim on the home jersey.

exportA-33.png

exportB-27.png

UConn Huskies

- I wanted to make a more complete design for the Huskies, as well as incorporate red. The tweaks I made to the first version you saw include changing the cuffs to match jersey color, and adding a white helmet option.

exportA-38.png

exportB-32.png

L'Ville Cardinals

- Louisville is the same as my first post.

Pittsburgh Panthers

-Pitt is also the same as my first post.

exportA-36.png

exportB-30.png

Rutgers Scarlet Knights

-I kept the Scarlet Knights scarlet, with the main change being the helmet logo.

exportA-39.png

South Florida Bulls

- For USF I used the new Under Armor template. I wanted to bring back the gold helmet as the primary, as well as use black as an alternate uniform.

exportA-40.png

exportB-33.png

Syracuse Orange

- I wanted to make sure Syracause was actually ORANGE, so the primary uniform is simply that. Orange and white play a bigger role in a classic style uniform.

exportA-41.png

West Virginia Mountaineers

-I hate WVU's current uniforms. This concept is simpler and more consistent, and I also tried to utilize the Okie State stripe.

USF: Solid concept. I like the emphasis on gold. Not a fan of the black alt, since you removed it from the scheme otherwise, but teams do seem to love the BFBS.

Syracuse: Again, solid concept. I did notice though that the 2s on your road TV numbers are missing the blue stroke.

WV: I really like these. The sleeve stripes are pretty sharp.

Your jersey designs are always great, Brave-bird. Lot of nice work here.

Cincy: This looks great, the only thing I can really suggest is to attatch the piping to the seams of the template itself.

Uconn: Simple and effective. The only thing their current set was missing was red, and you added just that.

Lousiville: Probably one of my favorites of the bunch. I like the striping on this one, as well as the number font. I think this one's perfect.

Pitt: All I could suggest is having gold numbers on the homes, otherwise you nailed it.

Rutgers: I like the number font, but not the NOB font. It seems a little too conpressed, I'd either elongate it vertically or use a standard block.

USF: Love it, but get rid of the black alternate. It doesn't seem needed, it's only bringing down an already great package.

Syracuse: Eh, if Clemson didn't exist this would be great. It's too similar, maybe add Colts shoulder stripes?

WVU: This is perfect. By far my favorite.

Excellent work here, keep it up!

@cjworks

I knew someone would say that about Syracuse. The thing is, it's very similar to Clemson in real life, but my Clemson concept used purple numbers on the road uniform, so in this imaginary world I figured the Syracuse ORANGE could benefit from taking up that look.

Brave-Bird, you brought it strong yet again with the Big East, but I have a few comments about the WVU kit.

- Could you try to modify the Okie State stripe to make a WV similar to their helmet logo?

- I noticed you used a Schutt DNA Pro helmet with those concepts, I haven't seen it before and I like it! Did you make it or is there someplace I can find it?

Cincinnati: I like the idea, but the piping should o along the seam, IMO.

UConn: The striping is very cool on this one, but you completely took the grey away. Bring back the grey on. The white helmet was a very nice touch though, very husky-like. You should've displayed as a storm trooper set.

Louisville: Add an outline to your "stripes". Everything else has an outline on it...

Pitt: Not a fan of the double stripe sleeves and then thick striped pants. The double stripe on the pants would look better.

Rutgers: Make the collar contrast like you did with the cuffs....

USF: Perfect set. No complaints. I wonder what a green lid would look like though. Or white.

Syracuse: I like how you made orange the dominant color, but I don't like how you just threw away the navy alternate.

West VA: Another perfect job. The striping works so well with the WV logo. Nice job.

Big Ten (*Leaders)

Time for the first half of the B1G!

Illinois Fighting Illini

-This concept might look familiar; I know I've seen a lot of people do something a long these lines for Illinois, but Illinois is simply one of those teams that has an obvious change in it's potential and concept makers jump on it. I used the indian head dress design and the basketball font to create a more unique identity. I also really wanted to give them a better looking helmet.

exportA.png

exportB.png

Indiana Hoosiers

-I was not a fan of Indiana's last uniforms, but neither am I a fan of their apparent Oklahoma copies that they will sport this year. I brought back the shoulder stripes, dropped the blobs, and added a little twist or two to push the Hoosiers in a modern direction.

exportA-1.png

Ohio State Buckeyes

-I didn't really think about it before, but I kind of surprised myself with how versatile I could get with Ohio State. I decided to make a more consistent striping pattern that rotates color, rather than keeping color (like their current). I also switched to the really neat font they wore on their pro combat uniforms and used the simpler "O" logo in the jersey and pants.

exportA-2.png

Penn State Nittany Lions

-I immediately knew what I was doing to do here. Logo placement on the helmet and collar, TV numbers, and a pants stripe kick this team in a way less boring direction without tampering with the identity. I mean, heck, why not do this when Paterno finally leaves?

export.png

Purdue Boilermakers

-This is kind of a 2011 Oklahoma State Cowboys esque design, which fits for a team with a color scheme of gold, black, and silver. I kept the uniform simple and let the ridiculous amount of color combinations do the work. Definitely one of the funner concepts I've put together so far.

exportA-3.png

exportB-1.png

Wisconsin Badgers

-Crossing my fingers with this one. My main goal in this conference is to differentiate Nebraska and Wisconsin as much as possible! With a nickname like "Badgers", I decided I could easily combine the classic stripes with a sharp, streamlined design that would appeal to the masses. It's a little out there, especially for the Badgers, but I've always imagined Wisconsin could get away with a modern uniform--I could be wrong. Notice Bucky the Badger makes an appearance.

Illinois: Definitely the way they should go next time they get new uni's. Except for the helmet. I think a white welmet with your zig-zag stripe as the center stripe would look better, and no circles around the I. You almost got it though.

Indiana: Double stripe the helmet to match the shoulder stripes and you nailed it.

Ohio State: That font looked good on the pro-combat, but not as good here. I think a block font that is double outlined to match the block O would look better. The jersey and pants look great though.

Penn State: I like the added logo to helmet. And the wordmark above the number. And the pants stripe. But why no contrasting collar???

Purdue: I love that striping pattern. The only thing that I would change is to make the number outline gold on the white jersey. And maybe change to a font that matches the P logo better...

Wisconsin: Love love love it!!! VERY unique striping. IMO it looks even better on the pants. I would look even better if you used the font that the b-ball team uses.

@tylerbray

The reason you have not seen contrasting collars in a few concepts is because most jerseys in that style by Nike don't have contrasting collars...just the material I guess.

I also like the idea of using the bball number font for Wisconsin...maybe without the black stroke? I'll post an update with that later.

I've wanted to see someone try a well designed concept with Ohio State's pro combat font, and you did a good job. I do think that in the end, the block font works the best but hey, that's what a concept is for. My biggest thing is the Illinois font. You tried to mimic the basketball uni's but I'm just not a fan of it on the football team. But overall I think you've got all these headed in the right direction.

Illinois: Once again, I love the zig-zag pattern on the football jerseys. The only thing I don't like is the helmet. The circle-I logo doesn't look too good on there. I'd keep it with the same ILLINOIS script they have now, but just the block I without the circle wouldn't be too bad.

Indiana: I like the unique approach to the jerseys. Not sure about the crimson yoke on the road jersey though. Either way, it gives Indiana a visual identity that they need.

Ohio State: Really like the small changes here. The home jersey looks a lot better with gray being the main color in the striping.

Penn State: Don't know if I'd like to see this actually happen, but that logo looks pretty good on a helmet. Stripe on the pants and the sleeve cuff make this look really nice.

Purdue: I like the design, but I'm not a fan of silver. If it was replaced with white in the striping and outlines this would be a great look.

Wisconsin: I like how the striping differentiates them with Nebraska. It's definitely modern, but doesn't look too bad. And Wisconsin isn't really a team you think of when talking about classic uniforms either so a modern switch doesn't hurt.

Great set. The only thing I'm not entirely impressed with is Illinois' helmet. It's too 'blah' compared to the rest of the unis IMO. Love seeing what other people do with the B1G, too! Keep up the good work, and please don't murder MSU's identity. ^_^
