Nashville Predators alt jersey concept

I used the guitar pick logo for the crest and came up with a jersey design. I retained the idea of guitar strings found on the current numbers and tried to come up with a way to use them on the stripes. Let me know what you're C & C are.

There's just too much going on for me to like this. The yoke, stripes, and cuffs all have a different feel- and only the yoke ties in visually with the crest. It's a cool idea, but it's got to be more cohesive.

I like the idea alot, really cool.

But I'd take out the black and add some sort of logo on the shoulders. I just like most jerseys better with a shoulder logo.

It's just too dark of a jersey, and with the navy pick on the navy jersey, all you'd see is the dragonball part (yes I know it's not actually a dragonball). I also don't think that logo's strong enough to be a primary. If you want to use any of the new secondary logos, I'd go with the NP logo

I like your thinking here with the striping and the color layout (although I could live without the black), but I don't think that logo functions as a crest. It looks good as a shoulder patch. However the NP mark might look good as an alternate crest.

I think this would work, and would greatly lighten up the jersey (the amount of dark seems to be everybody's qualm, and really, the black would blend into the navy blue at distance, just as navy blue blends into forest green on my team's jerseys), is if you made all of the black into yellow, and all of the yellow into black. On the logo, change the stars to white to compensate for that. I think adding black as a trim color, and in small quantities, would be perfectly fine, and might really make this thing pop (especially on the numbers, the dark outline would accomplish a seahawks-esque effect, but far better. Give it a shot, play around a bit.

I'll respect any opinion that you can defend.

I took several people's advice (like swapping yellow and black and using the NP for the crest) and as I was working on it, I finally decided to pretty much give it a makeover. The logos used have all been recolored. The music theme has now been dropped because I could not find a way to include guitar strings of any sort over what was already being modified. Either way, I'm pleased with the result.

Just lose the black altogether, focus on yellow white and navy.

I'd say either drop the black (which would be the popular opinion), or swap it with the white on the stripes. It's going to blend into the navy there, but it'll really show up between white and gold. Play around, see if it works

I tried going yellow/black/white but I did not like the look, especially on navy blue sleeves. Too many lines. I don't think I overdid it with the usage of black on the second concept, even though in fact it's not the most popular opinion.

yeah, i could see that happening too. Honestly, you could drop the black and it wouldn't really be noticed (you could always leave some in the logos, Nashville had how many extra colors in their logo last year?), or you could go the other way. think about this, maybe try it, see if it works. make the yellow stripes wider. changing the white to yellow and the black to white would probably be enough to do that. Then, put the guitar strings back in, in blue, white, or black. I'm thinking you could come up with a '67 Penguins effect, but they'd be guitar strings instead (leaving more gold on the outside edges of the guitar strings would make the effect more obvious). Idk, i liked the idea behind your original concept, I'd hate to see you give up on that for something more generic. (the Blues used to use that look, the Canucks use a close-enough pattern now, and Anaheim used that same pattern with the black/eggplant script jerseys). idk, give it a shot.

I'll respect any opinion that you can defend.
