Any chance you could make a Droid wallpaper?

What phone do you have? Since the Droid phones have varying screen resolutions, sizes are different from phone to phone. Also, the wallpaper is a bit more dynamic than in iOS, so I'll have to play around a bit to get it right. Let me know what logo you're interested in and I'll give it a shot.

Oregon Green background for Droid Incredible if possible please.

See how this works.

What blending mode did you use for this?

I use soft light blending, but I duplicate the layer to get a more saturated image. Depending on the colors in the logo, I knock the opacity down to 80% on each of the layers. On a few of the team with a lot of black, I only duplicated the other colors of one layer and left only a single layer of black.

I also desaturate the grass base layer under the logo for the grass backgrounds, or on the whole layer for the team color backgrounds. This way, I don't get a green tint to the colors that I'm blending into the grass texture.

These are awesome, any chance you would ever be open to pro sport teams?

Sure...I'm working on getting thru the BCS conferences for college football, but I'll try to get to any requests as they come up. I'll probably do a full NFL series next.

Well I really do like um, so if you ever have time I'm a big 49er, a's and warriors fan. If not no problem.

Keep up the good work.

I used the same format for the Niners as I have for College Football

As for the A's, I wasn't sure if the painted grass look would work as well for baseball, so in addition to the logo in team colors, I created one that has more of a stenciled grass feel...much the same way they put the All-Star game logo in Center Field

Oakland%252520A%252527s.jpg Oakland%252520A%252527s%252520Grass.jpg

With the Warriors, I really like the look over natural hardwood I was able to achieve, but I'm not crazy about the blue and yellow wood. I couldn't capture the painted baseline look that I wanted. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Perfect! Love the state flag one's especially. Thank you!

Edit: Any chance at getting a Chicago Bears with either the 'C' logo or 'bear face' logo? I showed some friends your work and they became quite jealous.

After much delay...

Yes...although it's a farily old version. 5.0, I believe.

Getting back on track with college football...here comes the Mountain West, starting with the arriving, the departing, and the recently departed.

These are all great. I'm looking to do a desktop background for myself based on this type of design but with the addition of schedules. In what position is your grass layer? Is it under everything else with the logos and turf color at 80% opacity? Is the grass layer on top? Somewhere in the middle? I've gotten something similar to this look (granted I'm working in Inkscape), but something about it doesn't quite look right. The colors don't really pop like yours do.

The grass layer is on the bottom, completely desaturated, and at 100% normal blend. On top of that is the logo and whatever color I want the background in a single layer, set to 80% opacity with soft light blending. I duplicate this layer to get the richer colors. If I need the colors to pop even more, I'll bump the opacity up on the two logo layers to 90 or 100%.

Good stuff to know. Thanks. My issue right now is getting the logo and the background to combine into a single layer in Inkscape. I'll have to do a little more digging.
