I'd argue that the current set looked dated the second it was unveiled. The old set was fine - they just needed to settle on fewer combos.

    This is one of the best looking football uniforms, at any level, at any time;

As a Falcons fan and resident Atlantan, I've been waiting for the day to come for the Dirty Birds to drop their Arena football look and get with the times. Needless to say, I'm excited. I wanted to try my hand at a new look. This concept is a blending of eras. It uses the red helmet and black jersey combination of the original 1960s teams. Light gray is used in place of white, reminiscent of the old sets with the gray pants and occasionally gray numbers. There are several combinations available as we saw the team use in the mid 2000s. A lot of concepts employ the shape of the wings on the sleeves and pants. This looks too abstract, in my opinion. I wanted something that resonated as traditional, yet with touches of modernism. For that, I used a single stripe design that thins out in the middle, similar to the wing- yet the shape is still contained within a traditional stripe shape. This evokes a bit of movement and speed without resorting to odd shapes and lines like we've seen from Nike lately. The stripe is consistent across all applications, similar to the Florida Gators. Take a look at this site I made which allows you to choose your favorite combination: https://andrewwagner.wixsite.com/atlantafalcons2020 And a preview:

Title is self explanatory. For me, my favorite was how the Army-Navy game became an arena for uniform design. From two teams with nearly identical uniforms to a game where the uniforms are as noteworthy as the game itself. Least favorite: Nonsensical combinations of white / grey / colored uniform garments in college football and high school

No offense, but that's all kinds of dumb. The only way Lamar Jackson is out of the league before age 27 is if he suffers a career ending injury. Even if he flames out as a starter, he'll stick around as a backup. (See III, RG.) If he totally flames out as a QB, some team will move him to a different position. (See Pryor, Terrelle.) As long as Jackson is healthy, he'll be in the league for a while.

Ok, all you jackasses that went ahead and penciled in the Saints for the win, AND kept hammering the "Cousins can't beat good teams"... Kindly shut the hell up.

Like that logo. Love that color scheme.

Sean Payton’s tears make me feel so good. In 2009, in the NFC championship game, this particular piece of human garbage… ...offered the players on the New Orleans defense cold hard cash to take multiple cheap shots at the Vikings’ quarterback’s ankles and knees. Which they gleefully did (and bragged about it after the game), while the refs stood by with their thumbs and whistles stuffed up their asses. Want to argue? You can argue with the NFL’s investigative findings and this video… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPZCVCZNc50&t=78s This dirty program was abetted and condoned by this d-bag… ...for which he and Greg “scumbag” Williams were each was suspended by the NFL. The fact that Williams was let back in at all is criminal. As far as I’m concerned, the Saints can never have enough painfully heartbreaking playoff losses. Each one is well deserved, and the fact that they’ve had three in a row jammed down their throats, and two of those three have been handed to them courtesy of the Vikings, just warms my heart. As long as Payton is still in charge of that team, I’ll keep hating them.

There was nothing wrong with the LA Bolt logo. If people didn't like it then fine, but it didn't deserve the trolling it got from other teams... some of which have terrible logos themselves.

Maybe it's just me, but I have no problem with the font the Bengals use. The biggest problem with that set is the presence of side panels. The striping is weird, but I like having it on the sleeve cap.

It'll look traditional - like an old Browns jersey - and then they'll hit us with this: "The jersey numbers and player-name letters are formed from dog bones, representing the team's relationship with a section of its fans known as the 'dog pound'. The word 'WOOF!' will appear on the inside of the collar, to serve as a reminder to each player who wears the jersey that they need to take the field with the intensity of a rabid dog."

All true, but the Patriots were, to quote my BASS colleague Ice_Cap, "the red-headed stepchild of Boston sports." Pats fans like Bill Simmons claiming that, in Boston, the team was as popular as the Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins back then is some serious revisionist history. Pats fans weren't "tortured" before the dynasty, they were indifferent.

I want a specific source on this. You can post it here or PM me directly. If you fail to do so (or refuse), I don't want to see another post from you regarding speculations anymore in any thread. Got it? In fact, that goes for anyone who posts these "insider information" bits without evidence to back up their claim.

Really like the special endzone for the last game at the Coliseum the Rams are using. And I really do hope that this is a sign of them sticking with blue and yellow because everyone I know thinks of the team as a blue and yellow team not blue and white or navy and gold or whatever hideous combination Nike is gonna give them like electric blue and volt yellow or whatever the hell it's called.

Screw a grown man that calls himself "Dabo" and gives "all glory to god" and then goes on and on about the favor of god. Screw you. You coached, your god didn't. Quit pretending that some mystical being helped you to win at the expense of his other children. I have zero respect for athletes (or people in general) that believe that "god" has their back. Grow up. Same for their stupid-ass quarterback too. And Carson Wentz, and Nick Foles. Does the losing coach say that "all blame goes to god"?

The problem with the current set is that they look like 2 completely different teams at home vs on the road, so this wouldn't solve any of that. Either go royal & yellow full time or go navy & white full time, otherwise they'll just be trying to have their cake and eat it too.

The Bengals color rush is a nice starting point for any rebrand....come up with a black home jersey option and maybe an orange version in time and you'd have a nice set. ....and ditch that stupid B logo. Use the tiger head as the primary.

    2. Philadelphia Phillies Home Uniform: I brought back that gorgeous maroon, ditching the blue almost entirely. I think the Phils' look has been one of the best in baseball for the last several years, but no other team is maroon. I wanted them to stand out a little bit. The font is slightly different than their current font, but of course, I left the pinstripes and the iconic numbers on the sleeve. Away Uniform: The away uniforms are basically a simple remodel of the current threads, just with updated color and script font. Home Alternate Uniform: Again, I took one of their existing jerseys and made it fit into the maroon color scheme. I tried to toss more blue into this one several times, but in the end, stuck with the maroon on cream. Away Alternate Uniform: Wanted so badly to do the red pants like we saw in the throwbacks last season, but I'm gonna try to stay traditional in this series (with the exception of a few powder blues later). This jersey's pretty much straight from the John Kruk days in Philly, but the maroon on gray is tough to beat. Next up!

I fail to see how stadium standards are relevant to MiLB vs. Indy overhead costs. It's not like any decent Indy circuit (looking at you, Pecos League) is going to be playing in 800-seat Legion ball fields with no amenities. In fact, affiliated teams (e.g., Appalachian League) are currently the ones playing in these types of venues. One person running P.R., radio announcer, and ticket sales? Are you aware of how different these roles are? Why don't we stick them in right field while we're at it? I seem to remember you complaining about the unprofessionalism of the New York Streets of the NAL. Something about trying to order merchandise, but having difficulty finding someone to sell you said merchandise. I remember this because I nearly worked in the NAL as well. Know why you had such issues? Because they likely had the same person running PR, merchandise, and gameday operations. Bare-bones staff = bare-bones experience, which no one attending a minor league sporting event wants. Which is part of why that team no longer exists.

It’s already been confirmed that there won’t be Earned edition uniforms this season. That merch corresponds with the Earned edition warmups, which themselves correspond with the City edition uniforms for the teams that made the playoffs last season.

I'm with you. But personally I don't mind if somebody posts a concept on the concept board and then links to it. But dropping full concepts into an unrelated thread? Quickly becomes a realignment-level threadjack.

What do you guys think of these Christmas jersey concepts? Honestly the only ones I like are the clippers and Celtics. Those are what Christmas jerseys should always always be. Two color palette and cursive font. That’s the signature Christmas look for me. Maybe add that little drop shadow like on the Celtics one for added modernness too and it’ll look even better.

I'm not completely sold on this one, the Alamo is heavily used for SA, so I may end up trying something different. I'd like to hear what everyone thinks of this first. If this isn't well received I might go with something along the lines of Fiesta SAFC

This font is called Neutraface which is inspired by Richard Neutra who was a famous modernist architect who has quite a few of his buildings in SoCal. LAFC uses Neutraface as well.

That green is one of the ugliest shades ever to be used on a uniform. It makes the previous NY Jets green look good.

Next up is Utah! I had experimented with a white sunset jersey and then tried going orange but felt too Phoenixy... So I decided to bring back black in honor of their first ever alternate uniform which was black. I've always been a fan of the wordmarks from that era. Very well crafted imo and work well with this color palette. The sunset is a smoothed gradient instead of layered. Jazzcity2

The lighter green and the current uniforms are the best the franchise has ever looked, in both Dallas and Minnesota.
