  1. Pacers City Uniform has officially been revealed... More images and a video on Pacers.com/City I actually really like these! It's less busy than the original pinstripe unis and their 5 stripe collars and double outlines on the wordmark and numbers, and the side panel design adds a touch of FloJo flair. I actually wouldn't mind it if they moved to this as their regular set - just need a white and yellow version. Also, I'm definitely going to need to acquire a shirt with this logo on it:

  5. Might be an unpopular opinion but the broncos redesign is a modern classic and the reason why it has lasted so long is that it's not particularly busy like the reebok imitations.

  6. ESPN has a good write up on the Heat uniform. Since it’s paywalled, some takeaways: this a wrap for the color scheme as a yearly release, though they hinted that the NBA may be allowing teams to make these city editions part of permanent rotations. The Heat have no intention of overhauling their red/white/black identity in favor of a Vice look, despite its enormous popularity. The Heat have brought in 5 times more revenue from the Vice line than they did from merch in all 3 championship seasons combined. I didn’t really like how bold it was initially, but reading about the Heat’s thought process made me appreciate it more. They didn’t want to end with just another color switch last year, so they made the finale as bold as possible. It also pointed out that the lateral gradient will make the team appear to be wearing pink when running one direction then blue when running the other, which is obvious but hadn’t clicked for me yet. Should be cool. A really successful campaign on their part.

  7. Heat jersey is eh, but the name “Vice Versa” is amazing.

  8. Yeah, this Denver set is probably the best football uniform out there with side panels. Maybe I'm missing one, but the Broncos make it work better than anyone else I can think of.

  9. I think the angled MILWAUKEE wordmark looks better than the regular one. Although that's certainly helped by the dark outline - cream outlines on white numbers/letters was never a great choice. Still, something about the upwards angle looks really, really good.

  10. As a Broncos fan who’s grown up with the current uniforms, I’m undoubtedly biased, but I really don’t understand the hate. I get it if you don’t like them, and hoping for a return to a modern version of the classic set is something I can get behind as well, but to put the current uniforms on the level of Cincinnati, Arizona, and others of that era? Nah. Maybe side panels aren’t your thing, I get that, but at worst the uniforms are mid-tier. The number font is pretty good, the helmet is amazing, and they don’t force random piping (Arizona), weird mascot-inspired features (Cincinnati), or yokes (both of the previously mentioned) into places they shouldn’t be. The panels may not be your favorite design choice, but Denver hasn’t tried mixing non-matching panels (like white over blue) and the panels are actually fairly simple in terms of design. In all honesty, I’m fine keeping them as-is for the foreseeable future. But then again, this is all just my opinion and doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.

  11. I would say this new one is worse. Only because the Mecca-inspired city uniform gave birth to the outstanding Earned set that came after it. I miss that one so much.

  12. That's really nice from Indiana. Close to an ideal fit for the fauxback/remix genre, and the royal blue just looks great here. Nice change of pace (hey!) from their recent very bad alternates.

  13. Kids? Most of the adults don't know/don't care the difference in the players. I've worked in MiLB and independent baseball part-time on and off since 2012 - I'd imagine somewhere around 90% of people attending an MiLB/indy baseball game couldn't give a hoot if the team is A or AAA. The majority couldn't tell you what level the team was, maybe half can tell you what MLB team they're affiliated with, even fewer could tell you the MiLB team's relative position in the standings. I'm not saying this to complain or be elitist about who should be attending an MiLB game - any paying customer (well, almost) is a good paying customer. You've got your dozen or so dudes (almost always the exact same guys) with binders full of cards hounding for autos (unless a star player is there for a rehab assignment, it's much more), but otherwise it's: families looking for cheap entertainment Little League teams coming as a group twentysomethings looking to get ripped on Thirsty Thursday and/or Instagram themselves people using their company's free corporate tickets/suites people just looking for something to do that evening Those people don't care whether the team is A or AAA. Even your couple hundred season ticket holders would've still bought them no matter the level.

  14. The Giants keep picking away at their amazing uniforms, each minor change being a major downgrade. When you get a design right, leave it the hell alone.

  15. I will be copping those Indiana unis and shorts!!! Milwaukee actually did a great job with their design and execution. Its not the best but waaaay better than the trash we've been getting. It takes a risk and doesn't sink completely IMO. @Conrad. Trix yogurt. Can't unsee now! Haha hate you for this. Court looks nice tho!

  16. I wish the Magic would get rid of the weird curved pinstripes and get ones like these. Great job from Indiana.

  18. I love seeing the Texans' Battle Red. It gives their identity a bit of a refresh because honestly, the navy-heavy set is kinda boring me.

  20. I tend to think that it doesn't matter what other cool French names are. "Impact" sounds kinda dorky but it's one of the few words that works in French and English, which is clever and smart for a team that is quite clear about trying to appeal to both communities in Montreal. More importantly it's established, at nearly 30 years in now, and I don't think there's any good reason to toss that aside unless your name is racist.

  21. I’ve got it as the Lakers refusal to do anything to celebrate the city of Los Angeles, and instead celebrate themselves with the LORE Series of celebrating past legends. It’s arrogant and truly disheartening for me. Would be nice to have an actual “city” uniform

  22. Wow, how disappointing. I may not have been the biggest fan of the name but it's better than Montreal FC. Why not find a cool French name, since St. Louis didn't use it something like Olympique Montreal would be neat.

  24. It's a bit like "Utah had a sunset gradient, so what if Milwaukee had a lake gradient" -- but the wavey bits ruin the effect and it just kind of looks blocky and bad. Also I wish the Bucks would just stop trying to make blue happen -- it's a nice shade of the color but it doesn't suit them. No shortage of teams play near water, that's how human settlement has historically worked, not everyone needs blue. I do agree that the straight version of that wordmark looks surprisingly nice though, in general I find angled wordmarks like that to be underused and underrated.

  26. You mis-spelled "better". I really wish teams wouldn't go outside their color palette. But if they're going to go wild, might as well go wild. And by that standard, those are both good uniforms.

  27. It's really cool how the Broncos were forced to play Sunday with no quarterbacks when the NFL can apparently delay a game for six (or more) days. The Broncos' QB's are cleared now by the way, so they could have played today or even tomorrow along with the Steelers and Ravens. This season really is a joke. I'm sure everybody in the NFC is thrilled that the Saints got an auto-win. Sure, they likely would have won anyway, but come on. Could be worse. It could be college football's asterisk-filled season. More asterisks than normal, I mean.

  28. ding ding ding ding. We know that's why the entire program exists but it's nice to see actual numbers even hinted at for a change. We overlook it on this board but almost each of these uniforms has an entire new line of merchandise dropped alongside it. In fairness, even most of the awful City uniforms have better designs than your average dime-store touristy championship shirt.

  31. All of the piping, side panels, and other weird crap that Reebok gave teams in the 2000s was 10x worse than what 2020 NFL looks like. The main sin of the NFL is that some extremely terrible looks from that era haven't been changed (Broncos, Bengals, Cardinals)

  34. I think that the MLS is best suited to using a hybrid of traditional names alongside Americanized-names. The Whitecaps, Sounders, Timbers, and Fire are awesome. I'm also fine with teams being named "CITY NAME FC/SC", but when everybody starts doing it, it obviously sucks. It's one thing for expansion teams to not get that, but for an already established brand to abandon their identity for it? Just plain stupid, no excuses.

  35. Gosh I hope not... It would be a shame to lose the Wild's green, red, and cream color scheme. It's more old-time hockey than the North Stars! I wish the Wild had gone with an M or W with a star, for the reverse retro, because the bear-head logo in green and gold doesn't look great...

  36. How are they holding everyone accountable when they're bending over backwards to allow the Ravens to play after they completely screwed up and put unknown numbers of people at risk? We already know they're not upstanding-responsible people, so besides the two dozen or however many players tested positive, how many unknowing people did they spread it to? I'm glad the games are being played too, because it's about the only normal thing in the world right now, but there comes a point where someone needs to be a mature adult and really hold teams accountable here. It's not just each other they're putting at risk.

  39. Heck, letting Minnesota have light green and yellow for the reverse retros is setting a good precedent for a “North Stars in all but name” rebrand.

  40. The Stars' current look is nice. I don't think it needs gold. The green pops enough. They really nailed the shade.

  44. The league looked way worse in the Nike era when you consider the Bucs and Browns, then they got swapped out for the Rams and Falcons. Ultimately it's the teams that should be blamed, but let's not pretend that Reebok and Nike aren't basically the same - just that one likes flat fabrics and figured out how to make seamless :censored:s.

  45. Maybe a USA Flag on the side would have been too much??! Lol. Seriously tho these should have at least the Gemini pattern. Now on to Miami. Don't hate it but not sure i like it. The shorts does complete the look. Side note: Thanks @Igor Coelho for the leaks. We have our sources here too but the good ones have gone to greener pastures.
