  1. This is all they really need to do to complete the color balance on the road uniforms.

  2. Not everybody wants a club in the highest professional league to have the same uniform limitations as a peewee rec team, but I guess your sassy gif sure showed me.

  3. Im not sure how those red X's would even be applied, or what material you'd make them from. And wouldn't they he a bit of a safety hazard, poking into the opposing players? Weird idea.

  4. Possible hot take: I liked Tennessee’s “Smokey Gray” alternate way more than I like this blackout look.

  5. The purple pants have really improved Baltimore's look. They should be the mainstay on the road, and they look fantastic with the black jerseys as well.

  6. Yup, I have done this mockup so many times. Not sure why Colorado doesnt add the blue stripe. The look is 100% complete if they would just add one stripe....

  9. At long last, we have reached the final team in the CSL ecosystem! Northwest Division 510 SC Hayward, CA Founded: 2011 Affiliated with: Oaktown SC I was honestly quite stumped with how I was going to pull this team off, but then I found inspiration while I was riding the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) from the Giants game this past weekend. The very simple crest takes inspiration from the futuristic, off-center front design of BART's original trains as well as the blue colors from the BART logo. I also took some inspiration from the off-center crest that @raysox had designed for King County SC back in 2015. The name is taken from the East Bay's 510 area code. The blue home kit is a pinstriped pattern with three light blue stripes that denote the three BART lines that go through the Hayward/San Leandro area; the 5 breaks in the light blue lines denote the stations between San Leandro and Union City. The clash kit takes inspiration from the Hayward city seal, and it turns this square pattern into a diamond design. The kits are supplied by Adidas, and the sponsor is Shasta Beverages. --- I still have to make kit compilations for the 70 CSL2 teams, and that will be posted next week. By popular demand, I will also be creating derbies and derby logos for the teams in CSL and CSL2. For now, here is a graphic with all 70 CSL2 logos as well as a league map: CSL2 Team Logos CSL League Map --- As for what's next, I'm honestly not sure yet what I'll be doing. Some of the things I've been considering is a soccer league for my Philippine homeland or digitizing my old hand-drawn baseball concepts. I'll figure out something, though! Stay tuned for some final CSL2 stuff and in the meantime, please check out my CSL2 Behance post and leave an appreciation if you can!

  10. It's a shame they dropped that striping. It was a great modern twist on a classic identity. Was this a purely coach's preference or was there a popular pushback amongst the fanbase to change it?

  12. If they're still fining people for socks, that's news to me. Here's Kyle Van Noy wearing New England's signature blue socks with red bottoms, for instance.

  13. It bothers me that the NFL is willing to be so hardline about their socks yet they'll let players get away with this sloppy BS when it comes to their undershirts.

  14. The Bulls are one of the biggest reasons (along with the Lakers) why I am so done with Nike's bull :censored:, and why I was so done with Adidas' bull :censored: before the switch. The Bulls wear white at home and red on the road. Their only alternate is black with red pinstripes. No deviation from that is necessary.

  15. Seahawks in full green against LA's atrocities I don't understand how teams can put on these uniforms and not feel like complete fools

  16. That and proving Sam Darnold’s issue was Adam Gase and a franchise named after a disaster more than anything else. After seeing what happened with Ryan Tannehill when he was coached by someone competent, I shouldn’t be shocked but still.

  18. Love that from the Ravens! It was pretty obvious that this would be a black jersey game, and it would've been so boring with only black and white elements for both teams. Perfect occasion to bring back this look for the first time since 2018.

  19. I would go so far as to say the Raiders would look better with a black facemask, and Cowboys better in navy. Just that they've never tried it.

  20. I still have mixed opinions on them, but I think the only reason they had such a viscerally negative reaction here at first is because everybody was so used to black numbers.

  22. The Bills uniforms have too many issues to be part of the “best matchup in football.” Unnecessary Navy trim, plain-white socks with white pants, hip/name-plate logos, and truncated helmet stripe are all details that I dislike with their current unis. If they wore the “standing buffalo” throwbacks against the Chiefs, I might consider that the best matchup in the NFL.

  24. Not that their black pants look much better. The Saints' gold pants desperately need to come back

  25. I've always preferred replacing the logo with TV numbers, especially since we don't have a full-body panther logo and if we did it wouldn't look good. Keeping the logo would look too much like the Pats in my book.

  26. So happy to see us wearing black over purple. I loved it when we wore it in 2018 and have been disappointed to not see it since. Definitely. White over purple is easily our best road look and I think black over purple slots in nicely behind black over white for the best alternate look. Purple over purple is a bit much but isn’t as bad as some of the other monochrome’s I’ve seen.

  27. Black gear, reflecting on it now, was fairly outdated, but the shade of blue the Avs have isn't the best to use for uniform elements, as its fairly bright, and hard to replicate accurately. I have always thought that burgundy breezers/helmet would have worked much better. Heck, it looks fantastic on their reverse retros! And in all honesty, the home uniform doesn't necessarily look bad with the extra blue, but as we seem to all agree on, that uniform isn't the issue.

  28. I will admit this uniform suffered a bit from the template change (see how the darker gray no longer “curves” into the shoulders like it does in the photo above): I think the solution could have been to just make the entire rest of the jersey and pants that darker gray color, instead of dropping the uniform altogether. That would also help to solve the readability problem you mentioned.

  29. Interesting thoughts from all. But enough speculation for now. Here is the first of the 1995 Alt Uniforms for USFL teams. I am hoping to have about 4 teams each season introduce an alt look. Some will be minor changes, others may go full "Nike Oregon" with their looks. The first one is the one I hinted at above. Jerry Glanville took the reins, and so we end up with a Man in Black look for the Bandits.

  31. I once saw an NBCSports Washington graphic last season depicting a Washington helmet with the previous helmet stripes, white facemask, and nothing on the sides. Which was a bit of an odd choice, but it still looked good IMO. Bears-Chiefs is a damn good look

  32. The Avs uniform is 10x better than it was 2 years ago. Removing the black creates such a cohesive look that relies only on team colors. The away uniform is now actually bright and not a dreary mix of dark burgundy and black. If the Avs had always gone this route, people would be cringing hard at the black gear.

  33. A quick reminder of how ridiculous most current teams look with a grey facemask -- especially the Rams, Ravens, Bengals and Cardinals.

  34. The Seahawks look like complete idiots. Their normal uniforms are absolutely abysmal, so it's truly amazing that they still have the ability to somehow pull out an alternate that's even worse. I was kind of interested in watching this game but I don't think I'll be able to stomach it.

  35. Never mind that - why is the outline so much thinner now? I've been thinking for a while now that something was slightly "off" about Carolina's uniforms lately, and this might be why.

  37. The additional problem with both of these looks is that they get progressively darker as you move down. That makes them look unbalanced and bottom heavy. They would both be at least a little better (though not necessarily good) if the pant and jersey colors were reversed.

  38. That can't be me... I would never have such a crazy opinion as to say Carolina and New England would look strange in gray facemasks... Insanity.

  39. I just wish we had a Rays-Nationals series for all of the Expos nostalgia circlejerk that would ensue.

  40. Yeah, I knew I wasn’t going to be able to avoid this series forever. :censored:in :censored:, Cardinals. Get ready for the West Coast Red Sox/Yankees talk done to absolute death, and get ready to see my soul literally leave my body periodically and come crashing back down like a ten foot fall directly onto pavement. This is a lifetime of :censored: talking privileges on the line.

  41. Some of the elements were a bit gimmicky, but the Smokey Grays were unique and, I think, designed pretty well. The way the orange popped off the uniform was very eye-catching, although in certain lighting, it got lost at points. I think dark gray outlines could have fixed that issue. I actually like these black uniforms as well, especially with the extra black trimmings on the helmet. I actually like it better that way, I just can't see the Vols in black helmets.

  42. Outside of the Heat abomination, these mashup jerseys are head and shoulders above pretty much anything that's come out of the City program since its inception.

  43. *OR* it illustrates how unnecessary, lazy, and outdated grey facemasks are in the year 2021.

  44. This is my uniform matchup of the year so far, for sure. It’s very likely to stay in that spot the rest of the way too. The bright and vibrant colors of the Chargers contrast so well with the simple silver & white of the Raiders. I only wish this game was in the sunshine so the Chargers colors could have popped even more.
