  1. No it's not. Not even close. Please elaborate. As for the Coyotes current jerseys, they're not bad by any means but losing the hem stripes and titling the logo to nosebleed proportions really hurt the overall look. Also the shoulder yoke on the Road looks really out of place.
  2. Maybe it isn't such an unpopular opinion Cheesy primary aside, the Golden State Warriors definitely looked their best from 2002 to 2010. That shade of Orange made so much sense... Why they would depict the Golden Gate Bridge in yellow instead of it is beyond me.
  3. The Canucks current Identity is perfect... Orca, wordmark and all.
  4. From a purely aesthetic standpoint (ignoring things like history and championships) this was one of the best updates in the history of Pro Sports. The Islanders original look was unremarkable at best. This on the other hand was one of the most inventive and visually appealing jerseys to ever hit the ice.
  5. Personally, I don't care. Not one bit. If people want to waste $50 dollars on a poorly constructed rag with bubbly crests, my advice is for them to knock themselves out. These people will never know the joy of owning the real deal nor will they ever appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into them (yes, to me jerseys are a work of art). Their loss. Not quite. Smoking pot doesn't harm anyone (including the smoker) which is why making it illegal is hypocritical and backwards. Supporting counterfeit merchandise on the other hand harms the bottom line of the company's making the real deal. You know, the products these boards are centered around.
  6. The new Predators jerseys look atrocious, especially the white road where the useless piping is even more prominent and the hem stripes are not complete. They look almost as bad their previous jerseys.
  7. The Washington Capitals main set looks dated already and is in bad need of an update.
  8. The Florida Panther's double blue jersey is pefectly acceptable in my book... as an alternate.
  9. Wow I didn't know Minnesota was going with kelly green... how retro
  10. Agreed. Don't see what the big issue was with these.
  11. Cause detroit needs a phantom shoulder yoke. Look how modern it looks
  12. Looks worse than Boston's record in the finals... Curious, do the refs of the SCF get one too?
  13. And?... That has nothing to do with quality. I can spot a BMW from a mile away. Does that indicate that it is of poor quality? Maybe not... But the cheap materials, incorrectly rendered logos, upside down crest's, and faded incorrect colours do. Counterfeit jerseys look like absolute garbage and anyone with a sliver of jersey knowledge should be able to spot one from a mile off.
  14. The Sabres current uniform set is awful. Yes its great they got rid of the slug but the Home and Away jerseys look like leftovers from the original edge rollout. Front numbers are unnecessary and the pit stains & piping ruin the otherwise retro design. The Third would look great if not for that awful contrasting nameplate stolen from the Flyers.
  15. I almost wish this was the real jersey (aside from the shoddy materials associated with counterfeits). Chances are the Jets will pull a "Buffalo" and ruin a traditional design with unnecessary piping and armpit blotches. This looks good even as a counterfeit.
  16. Thanks guys It was kind of hard to tell because the logo seems to be rendered with alot more precision than most counterfeits.
  17. Can anybody tell if this listing is a Counterfeit? It looks like the real deal but the thing throwing me off is that fight strap... Seems a bit too small for an authentic. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks! http://cgi.ebay.com/Authentic-San-Jose-Sharks-Marleau-Jersey-RBK-Edge-54-/140577468163?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item20bb11ef03
  18. I agree. I'm just saying that if they insist on going with a fauxback look I rather they go with the red sweater's template over the green sweater's template. I would prefer it if they went back to their inaugural look though. That was a great case of nailing it on the first try. Maybe the old Red template that had hem stripes and didn't feature the phantom yolk. Its not like it would be difficult to implement on the Edge Template. At this point though, I'd settle for anything so long as the Home and Road match. Speaking of the Green Alt, they seem to be using that a lot lately. First at the draft, then all the pictures on the website and now the current interview with Heatley and Setoguchi.
  19. And for good reason, its the best jersey they've had since rebranding.
  20. Woah... leave my Canucks out of this please! Im pretty sure they just started a "Spot the Counterfeit" program. No he doesn't. He owns a laughable, cheaply made piece of rag with off colours, off fonts and likely a laughable interpretation of what the corresponding logo should be. I feel sorry for people who buy fakes, they are obviously visually illiterate when it comes to the aesthetics of sports. Not all knock offs are horrible, I posted links to one of mine in this thread. Way to sound like a douchebag though, I guess what they say about Vancouver is true. Case in point... this little troll. Why don't you do yourself a favour and NOT post on a board populated with the very designers getting ripped off by little bastards like you who support these criminal counterfeiters. Thanks. You won't be missed.

  22. This site is absolutely laughable. Apparantly Tie Domi played for the St. Pats... Gretzky wore this design And the North Stars had specially stylized, Pixelated Front Numbers...
  23. ...is just factually incorrect. The Steelmark wasn't the logo for US Steel, it was the logo for the entire American steel industry. It was a Cleveland-based steel company, Republic Steel, that suggested the Steelers adopt it as their logo. Later they received permission from the American Iron and Steel Institute, an association of the major American steel companies, to alter it by replacing the word "Steel" with "Steelers." So it's not a rip-off. In fact the steel industry suggested they use it. That same industry gave the team their blessing to alter it. You are right on all counts. But the logo still isn't very original. I realise its certainly not going anywhere but I think they could have done better.
  24. Im curious did the NHL ever have problems with counterfeiters when the CCM 6100 and 550 were the standard? Don't get me wrong I am not for one second trying to justify the criminal actions of counterfeiters or the people who knowingly buy them but this whole debacle does seem like bad karma for Reebok's cheap, parasitic business tactics. Before they made the Edge uniform the standard, you could buy Replica's of much higher quality, with fully embroidered logos in the price range of 100-110 dollars. Now you pay $130 for a light cheaply made rag with plastic shoulder logos that literally falls apart after only a few washes. But as I have said before if you don't want to pay $130 for a cheaply made replica. Don't. But paying around $50 or whatever the counterfeiters are charging for an even cheaper product solves nothing. Buy the 6100 or 550 jerseys. I've been a jersey collector for over ten years and I can safely say that the only good thing to come out of the Reebok Edge debacle is the fact that I can get CCM jerseys for much less money. I've gotten many mint condition Authentic jerseys from pre-2007 for the same cost of a Counterfeit Edge. This way you get high quality products for less money without having to resort to supporting criminals. Its win, win. Like I said before, if your upset with what Reebok is charging for their products, show them by boycotting the Edge Uniform System all together.
