  1. Interestingly, Dee Gordon wore Twin City Knitting 2-n-1 stirrups with a traditional 3-stripe design. Pitcher Matt Festa wore real stirrups which were plain royal blue.
  2. A championship ring has been created for France's World Cup players. http://www.espn.com/soccer/club/france/478/blog/post/3805817/inspired-by-the-nba-paul-pogba-and-antoine-griezmann-deliver-world-cup-rings-to-france
  3. The gold on the name and numbers is dye sublimated onto white twill with decorative stitching around the edges of the gold parts. I think it appears a shade lighter with that application instead of true gold twill sewn on top of a separate layer of white twill.
  4. The Red Sox announced Brandon Phillips will wear number zero. They didn't mention the fact that he is first ever to wear that single number. No one in team history has worn 00 either. All time uniform numbers for Red Sox: http://www.redsoxdiehard.com/players/unifnums.html

  6. Brothers J D Drew and Stephen Drew both wore #7 for the Red Sox.
  7. No, I think Canada's inspiration was North Attantic lobster tail.
  8. Wow. Quite ugly. Team USA was inspired by Bald Eagle feathers. USA Hockey Unveils Nike 2018 Olympic/Paralympic Jersey Other jersey highlights include:• The inspirational slogan of Land of the Free – Home of the Brave hidden in the back neck of the jersey• Injected silicone molds make the trim pop• Graphic on the sleeve was inspired by bald eagle feathers and represents the theme of fluid force• The flicker film (rather than heavy twill) base for the crest and numbers increase vibrancy and sparkles under arena lights.

The two alternate captains for the Bruins in last night's game each had a different A stitched on his jersey. David Krejci wore the A from the new 2017 nameplate font and Brad Marchand had an A from the last several years. Here is the old alternate uniform that featured the same A that Marchand wore last night. Marchand also wore the same style A in an exhibition game vs Chicago. Patrice Bergeron had the new one.
  11. How come the Lakers and Nike can't see there is a huge problem with the space at the top of numeral 9? The 6 does not have the same issue.
  12. The foot at the bottom of the numeral 4 stretches down too far compared to the Braves' original. The Turn Back The Clock version looks a bit odd with that big gap of white.
  13. This is the first official picture I've seen from the Celtics. Goofy shorts and missing armpit stripes as expected.

Looks the same. I assume numbers will be black and gold, no white middle outline. Socks will match jersey sleeve and waist stripes. https://www.nhl.com/bruins/news/nhl-and-adidas-unveil-the-boston-bruins-new-uniforms/c-290023504 "...this uniform platform change did provide an appropriate opportunity to simplify the coloration of the number & letter systems, improving arena and broadcast readability. In addition, the team updated both the home and away sock coloration to mimic the respective jersey sleeve striping pattern."

Whoops. I thought that was white jersey. I realize this is the orange one.
