This leaves just 2 NFL stadiums without corporate name rights, and both are in the NFC North. Soldier Field and Lambeau Field. Will likely just be Lambeau once the Bears get their new digs on the Arlington Park property in Arlington Heights. Wonder who will swoop in for those naming rights?

The week 12 on the graphics is listed under Blue. Also the article on the site states "The Giants will don their primary blue jerseys with white pants for all other home games and when they travel to Dallas for a Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Cowboys on November 24." Clearly a mistake.

Not saying this won't happen but I would take a tweet for a source outside of the the Cowboys themselves or the NFL with a grain of salt. Why wouldn't the Cowboys have announced this when the announced the Thanksgiving Day throwbacks?

Money is the top factor you are absolutely right. If they can pair the money grab with throwbacks they will. If not they will figure something out. As far as teams that did not go the throwback route here is some info to consider. There is some history for the Bears with orange helmets. They wore orange helmets in 1933 and 1934. They also wore White helmets in 1934. This pre-dated the wishbone C but they haven't always only worn navy. The majority of their existence outside of early plain brown leather they have been a navy helmet team but there is some history with orange and white helmets. The Cardinals never have worn black helmets. This is a first for this team. They have some instance of red helmets in their past as well as plain brown leather in the very early years but never black. The Panthers, Jets, Eagles and Commanders have no history of Black helmets, but the Commanders don't have the option of history anymore. White would have made for some historic relevance for the Jets or Eagles, and the Panthers have only ever worn Silver until now. The Saints had the 1 pre-sesaon with black lids so there is some lose history, but that helmet stripe is just bad.

Good Morning Football on NFL Network this morning reported it will be 13 teams this season with Alt helmet shells so it appears we may be done or they are not allowed to spoil the 14th and are only discussing the 13 that are announced.

Not sure if anyone brought it up but the NFC East is the only division where all 4 teams have alternate helmet shells for 2022. The NFC South will also have all 4 teams next season.

That Schefter twitter post shows 2 versions on the Cowboys helmet... one with current logo and one true throwback. I am guessing the white with the current logo was an error. as the teams official announcement showed throwbacks. He stated 14 as well when earlier in the year 15 were reported. I am guessing the Rams might have been on the list for this season but then earlier in the year announced they would not. Either that or the earlier report might have thought the Bucs would get the Bucco Bruce uniforms done in time. If we are down to 1 team left for 2022 my guess is it will be either Red lids for the Bills or Blue lids for the Colts

A report earlier in the year on Uniwatch stated that 15 teams would be using alternate helmet shells in 2022. We are at 13 announced. 2 remaining if that report is accurate.

The Browns only wore 2 socks in 2021. Brown mid-calf striped and white striped.

Legal actions by the city of Cleveland and Browns season ticket holders led the NFL to broker a compromise that saw the Browns franchise, history, records, and intellectual property remain in Cleveland. In return, Modell was permitted to establish a new franchise in Baltimore, which was eventually named the Ravens. He moved the players and staff not the franchise. The players and staff left Cleveland not the Browns. Since it was deemed infeasible for the Browns to play the 1996 season in Cleveland under such circumstances, the franchise was officially deactivated by the NFL in February 1996 and Modell was allowed to transfer his football organization to the Ravens: thus, the Ravens are officially regarded by the NFL as an expansion team populated by the former Browns staff and roster that began play in 1996. As part of the settlement, the NFL agreed to reactivate the Browns franchise no later than the 1999 season provided the City of Cleveland constructed an NFL-caliber venue to replace the aging Cleveland Stadium. Even if Cleveland had forced Modell to sell or blocked the move the Browns still would have been deactivated as Cleveland Stadium had to be replaced and the city had no other venue that met NFL requirements for even temporary use. Why should Baltimore have been able to claim that history. Did the people of Baltimore feel gut punched with the drive and fumble happened? No, they felt gut punched with the Mayflower trucks pulled out in the dark of night in 1984. It is a crime that Baltimore can't claim the history of Johnny Unitas. It was the people of Baltimore that cheered him not Indianapolis. Same is true with the memories of Bum Philips walking the sidelines in his Stetson and Earl Campbell running people over are Houston. That history should have stayed in Houston. If owners want to move their organization fine, that is their right but leave the history with the fans that cherish it. Players and coaches come and go every year even ownership changes at times. The same team never plays 2 years in a row in any sport. Without the fans does any of the history and moments matter?

The Browns never changed name or city... hence they are 46. The Ravens never changed name or city hence they are 96. Also isn't exactly changing of City it is changing location name. The Cowboys changed stadium location from Dallas to Irving to Arlington. Lions moved from Detroit to Pontiac back to Detroit. 49ers went from San Francisco to Bayview Heights to Santa Clara. Giants and Jets moved out of New York altogether for Jersey, but none of those teams made any name changes in said moves.

Not true... From the team's official Slick from last season. They used all white for "color rush" when the match-up was deemed to not have enough contrast with the home team by the league. One thing many people forget is that the NFL is trying to become a global brand and expand outside the US market especially the UK which the NFL has been pushing to get a real hold in for years with the 2 to 3 UK games a year. The UK has different rules around TV broadcast that requires a license to get to view and offers both a more expense color license and a black and white license... yes there are still people who only have black and white TVs in this world of HD and 4K. Color license in the UK cost £159.00 where as the B&W only costs £53.50. The NFL still takes the contrast on B&W TV into consideration in the match-ups.

Designation as home/away are not a consistent factor in today's NFL. The league doesn't classify a specific home and away look internally anymore in terms of uniforms. Uniforms are classified as color, white, alternate, throwback, and color rush. What ever uniform the home team selects the visiting team must wear a contrasting opposite. Many teams opt to wear lighter colors at home be they white or an alternate early in the season, and some opt to wear white at home almost exclusively. The only exception to this was during the mandatory color rush time frame when we saw color vs. color but those only happened if there was enough contrast. Last year as an example the Browns debuted the Alternate all white 46 throwbacks. They wore them first at home against Chicago and then again on Christmas in Green Bay. So to answer the question these will be similar to those and just be an alternate look and where/when they wear them is anyone's guess at this point.

That might be their workaround by going back to previous the color rush jersey and pair with the current white and black pants.

No known alternate white jersey is known. So based on that and the fact that the alternate shell has to be paired with an alt, throwback or color rush here are all the possible Bengals options paired with the 2 orange alternate combos they currently have.

So the survey shows that the fans overwhelming choice is the white helmet with black stripes, but the desired all white snow cat look isn't possible in 2022 from what options we know the teams has. Keep in mind the NFL states that the alternate shell can only be paired with an alternate jersey, throwback or color rush. They currently to my knowledge do not have a throwback ready and available to go with "original option" have no alternate white jersey. The only way the Bengals complete the "Snow cat" look is if the also announce a new alternate white jersey. Their only option with any alternate shell in 2022 is it with the orange alt jersey and a black and white helmet with that makes very little sense. Also with how they list them are they saying the options are a black helmet with white stripes, and a white helmet with orange stripes?
