Should have came up with a new league name, Xtreme is so late 90’s early 2000ish.

I got a feeling XFL will work for now, and if it survives 5 years... it'll be renamed probably with a merger of one of the other spring leagues if they survive.

Right now, the name XFL is going to get viewers. AFL and AAFL and FFL and UFL and all that didn't bring eyes. The XFL is going to get that wrestling fan and football fan.

Does anyone know why the Marlins got a custom teal-colored Jackie Robinson 50th anniversary patch in 97? Only them and the Expos got custom patches. The Expos I understand because the wording on the patch was switched to French but the Marlins only changed the color of the patch. Why didn't other teams get custom colored patches?

    Dodgers got one too.

That's hilarious. I thought Martin Brodeur playing as a St Louis Blue alumni was bad.

I always hated how they chose to align the F logo on those hats. The whole logo looks like it's pushed way to the left and it's because they centered it by finding the middle point of the logo, but the visual weight of the logo all lies with the F. They should've centered the F and let the fish hang off to the right.

It eventually was centered to the F, but I think not until 1995

Weird.. those style yeti footprints were never used on any Avs game jerseys. They first appeared on the Starter retail authentics (made in El Salvador) the inaugural 1995-96 season only (Starter corrected the error the next season) and then showed up again on all ccm / KOHO replicas (late 90s - 2007).

    Delete.

It's a bit questionable how the 92 Blackhawks let him go, despite a solid performance in the Stanley Cup final as Belfour's backup. I never knew he was once in that position at the start of his career.

I'm sure it's like the situation with the NYR- with two teams coming in the expansion draft the Blackhawks had to leave one goaltender unprotected and risk losing him for nothing. I'm sure they wanted Hasek as only a backup at that point since Belfour was an elite goaltender.

They traded Hasek for what they can get, exposed their new backup "Waite" to the expansion draft and didn't lose him and gained other assets.

Buffalo probably exposed Fuhr, Hasek or Draper in the expansion draft and none were selected.

Rangers traded Vanbiesbrouck to the Canucks to avoid losing him for nothing, and the cancks wanted him just to expose in th draft so they would not lose McLean.
