  1. The expansion Chicago Hounds have released their first kit: home Away Little disapointed that they didn't use green as a primary colour in their kits as there is a lack of green in the league.
  2. San Diego Legion have gone back to their official colours: Home Away Camo
  3. There will be a new competition happening in South America, Langford, BC and Glendale, Colorado. The South American championship has been rebranded "Super Rugby Americas" and will have club teams from Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Columbia, and Chile. On top of that, American Raptors from Glendale, Colorado (formerly of the MLR) and the Pacific Pride based in Langford, BC (National Canadian development team) will also joining the competition. The logo has been released and is a direct copy of the "S" from the Super Rugby Pacific completion. Here's the Pacific logo for comperison: No word on if the competitions are associated with one another.
  4. Hurricanes Stadium logo had "dropped" according to their twitter:
  5. So did a trademark search of the Thrashers and their trademark is currently owned by the NHL... So maybe they just asked the NHL to use the jersey.
  6. I believe all rights associated with the Thrashers stayed with the Spirit group or something? Maybe like the same situation to what the Whalers did and why we didn't have Whalers merchandise for so long until the NHL got the rights back. I don't think True North has any Thrashers rights.
  7. Osprey's European kit. It has the colours of every grassroots club in their region. Also, the players wore the socks of their own clubs that they started with.
  8. I don't know if this has been mentioned but the North Bay Battalion released an alternate sweater with a tank on it. “I had a discussion with the league even before we started play in 1998 about a secondary design that included a tank sweater, we’re pleased to introduce them in this, our 25th, season. We hope fans like the look and want to see more.“ - Scott Abbott
  9. And Bettman has said that "he's heard from the fans and they said they like them and it is a non issue so they will be sticking around" (paraphrasing)... I'd like to know which fans he was talking to as the vast majority of people have stated that they really don't like them.
  10. Not sure but I know their women's team did beat Scotland to qualify for the Women's World Cup. They are up and coming though and I believe they have a team in the SLAR (The South American club rugby circuit, which will also include Pacific Pride from Canada and the Glendale Raptors from the US for this upcoming season). This league is also where the Jaguars went after they left Super Rugby.
  11. Another Super Rugby Pacifica kit, the New South Wales Waratahs:
  12. The logo to accompany the name change: I don't get it really. They seem to have a worse identity issue than the Canucks... At least the Canucks changed their look after about each decade.
  13. New Columbia federation logo... sorry posted this in the wrong thread earlier.
  14. Rugby New York has changed their name... again. Rugby United New York --> Rugby New York --> Rugby New York Ironworkers
  15. New England Free Jacks new kits. Not much has changed really with them.
  16. Super Rugby Pacific is upon us and some new kits coming. Moana Pasifika are first up (Home [unchanged], away [new], Heritage [new]):
  17. Utah Warriors with their new kits. 1 home and 2 away kits.
  18. The first of the kit reveals for the upcoming season. The Seattle Seawolves have released their home and away kits. Away kit stays the same but the home kit has changed: They have dropped the dark/navy blue in favour of black for the home kit. Not a fan of dropping the blue. I think the home kit would be okay if they changed the black to the dark blue.
  19. I think it has more to do with the Olympics as all the countries that are within the UK compete as Team Great Britain. It does make sense on that level... plus starting next year the 7's World Series is getting a dramatic overhaul to align more with the Olympics. They are going to drop the number of events to seven as well as the core teams from 16 to 12. Going to be an interesting season in 2023-24 and I don't think Canada will do well. We may qualify the men and women through the regional qualifying tournaments for the Olympics but I have my doubts we'll qualify through the World Series.
  20. Great Britain's new kits by Umbro. They will be competing in the Sevens Series as England, Wales and Scotland decided to merge like they do for the Olympics.
