I wanna say maybe 20 years ago, the eagles wore mono green and it was like the talk on the sports shows as much as the highlights of the game was. Fast forward to today and we’re begging the saints to wear gold pants.

Does anyone know why adidas quit selling replica jerseys with a number? Is it a nil thing? Miami hurricane thing? A cheaper product, but same price thing? All the above? I ordered a new canes reverse retro knowing this was the only option, but ordered a white and orange one from two different Stores and they both came blank even though the stock photos showed a number. Now I gotta make some returns

Give credit to adidas…makers of trash uniforms, but they’ve been nailing football and baseball at the u. Basketball still sucks though.

Is it me or is every new brand a food item or some neon copa identity anymore. Both have been way overplayed for me.

I was both excited and disappointed by these new hats. I was excited to see the trucker hat is gone and actual sewn on stuff in the era of heat pressed. I like a lot of designs and colors. I was disappointed seeing some basically recycled hats (as mentioned a few posts above), using old logos that they don’t use currently (hey here’s a 90s oriole hat, but just for warmups) and as a fan of the rays and pirates, I rushed to see what was available. Why grab the gold pirate hat when I just got their CC hat last year? I also have their all yellow players weekend. The BP looks very forced version of the pillbox. Ok I’ll check the rays. Same situation their ST is almost identical to the players weekend. I didn’t get a chance to see their BP.

Weird thing I was thinking about…I know the nfl doesn’t count pants (or socks), but do YOU personally consider teams like Detroit and Baltimore are wearing alternate uniforms since they are not their default combo even though the jersey is the default one?

That Washington pullover is absolutely amazing…for USA softball

Whoever dresses the lions must have gotten inspiration from the saints. All they need is the silver or gold pants, maybe sprinkle in the colored pants once in a while, but instead choose the color unitard for home and the white tracksuit for road. Then make sure you also wear the same color socks. Sad

Sorry if it’s been discussed, not a huge basketball guy, but I saw Miami had some type of throwback/fauxback and fanatics listed it as yellow and I thought it was just bad lighting, but they are wearing them today. They are almost a gold. Even the scorebug for them is gold as well as the player accessories like undershirts. I thought they were aiming for a cream or vintage look, but I’d say these are more khaki/vegas gold. What is the story behind these?

The panthers black helmet logo bothers me that it’s just black and blue. I mean the panther has white eyes and teeth right below it on the sleeve. I’ll even go one step further saying it needs the white outline back on there cause it gets lost on that helmet

The Pants logo was removed from all of their pants as a consequence of switching from the old Reebok template to the Nike Vapor Untouchable template in 2019, after David Tepper took over the team.
Yeah, that’s what I was getting at because I don’t recall them wearing blue pants since that switch. Didn’t know they followed the other 3 pair and were still an option.

So are these new blue panther pants? If I recall, they wore blue pants with the original color rush run and those had the panther head on the hips IIRC.

I watch the games every Sunday with my 80 year old mother and today’s comments from her included “what the heck happened to the packers uniforms? And Washington should burn those things”

Panthers wearing blue socks with their black jerseys and pants for the first time in forever it seems like.
I’m not a mono fan myself, but socks being blue really helps. Wish more teams would see this. I think the bengals have seen the light as well when they put orange socks with black pants.

It's AI, it doesn't know how to focus.
AI amazes me making such a beautiful and realistic picture, but I’ve seen they have the tendency to add extra fingers and stuff like whatever number the guy on the far right is wearing. Anyway, I don’t think the bears need a helmet other than navy, but I think I’d take the all white look over the orange gear…although I didn’t mind the orange jersey only for a game. The extra helmet just doesn’t execute well in a game setting.

My only gripe with the OSU gray is I wish the numbers had an additional black outline like the helmet and sleeve stripes…and that’s coming from someone who usually hates monochrome and definitely hates that school in general. Their colors are sharp though.

My .02 on Pittsburgh…if anyone knows me, I’m anti-gray mask, but I feel these need one to differentiate themselves from just an alternate. Yes, you and I see the difference of font or no chest patch, but I’m sure the average person does not. The whole city has a unique color scheme that all the sports use…in the most redundant ways. Steelers have three black jerseys (home, block, yellow block), pirates have two blacks (4 black hats, a yellow P and Pittsburgh cursive jersey), and the penguins have three (home, diagonal Pittsburgh, and triangle RR if it’s still in use). Now if the Steelers would switch back to this look, I wouldn’t hate it, but would if it didn’t have a black mask.

Yeah, it was merely a thought. Just strange though how they seemed to love the pewter pants over the last few years and have suddenly started wearing white a lot more. I don’t mind the white pants, but much prefer the pewter. It’s a shame though that they couldn’t get a correct shade of pewter with Nike though.
My .02 is it’s the icy look, idiots who don’t wear the correct socks and make them even icier, and to kinda say this isn’t Tom’s team anymore. That’s all I can think of. As a fan, I’m sick of it and they need red/pewter, white/pewter then alternate in the white pants, but what do I know.

I have a sick obsession with MiLB hats (around 350 of them) and today I snagged the aviators stars throwback (yellow/brown/orange like the 70s padres) and the inland empire 66ers what if cherubs hat. I know they’ve what if-ed the cherubs three times now, does anyone know where I can find the date for the game they wore these in 2023? Every time I search, I only get the original reveal for 2020 and their website has already flipped to 2024. I get OCD about this kind of stuff I was suckered into this hat cause it’s a play on the slanted halo angels hat. Thanks for any help. It’s for my little online catalog I have to keep so I don’t buy hats I already have

IMO, the jets uniforms are not that bad. The colors are nice. Things they could do to make them more enjoyable would be 1) wear green more often, you know like your unofficial nickname gang green 2) throw white socks in the dumpster. Wear black socks with green pants and green socks with white or black pants.

Double white pants is so underwhelming. Why are the Bucs no longer obsessed with their pewter pants?
I’m very worried that the bucs are going to go white socks. I’ve noticed the big names are starting to go rogue and do it anyway. And I have no clue the obsession with white/white. Traditionally they’ve basically been white/white home and white/pewter road (not always the case, just predominantly) now it seems like it’s mainly white/white and even the rare red occasion has white pants. Red/pewter is my favorite and the default set, but gets worn like 2x anymore.

From a distance, I didn’t think these uniforms looked that bad. It had a few elements that I prefer to the current ones:
—The brighter red
—Red socks at home, pewter socks on the road
—Incorporation of the creamsicle orange
The problems lie in the details. The atrocious numbers, shoulder yokes, asymmetrical sleeves…weird striping…oversized logo…
If they used that red/orange and the original 1997 pewter, they’d have a great looking set. We appreciate the current getup now because it’s not the bonkers 2014 look, but today it just looks horribly boring. Drab pewter, WAH constantly, more black than red. Snooze.
I enjoyed the brighter red and orange from the alarm clock era and maybe a stretch for me was when the sock matched the pant stripe. That was about it. On the current uniforms, I wish they could get dazzle pewter pants and wish they’d wear red socks with white pants and then black with pewter. I wouldn’t mind the pewter jersey as much if it had white pants too.

Is this Pitt's first alternate helmet since they switched to the brighter colors full time?
I think they had a gray city type uniform that represented steel

So with the giants now using throwback helmets with the color rush whites, does that give them two throwbacks or one throwback and one color rush (since they use white socks like SF does with theirs) my head hurts
