  1. Newark? When you have two teams sharing a stadium like 15 miles away? And no way Milwaukee would ever be able to compete with the Packers for fans in Wisconsin. Call me crazy, but I think a Milwaukee team could work if it were in the AFC. That said, it's a moot point. We're officially Packers territory in the NFL, and they'd never allow a team to move here.
  2. Hmm... I had no idea that so many hated the Jaguars teal flakes, but if so, chalk me up as someone with an unpopular opinion. Beyoootiful!
  3. That's an unpopular opinion? Or are you just throwing your three cents (damn inflation!) into the Jags helmet discussion?
  4. What I find more fascinating is the huge gap between each letter of 'Epps.' That's why I originally posted this on the other page... I actually liked the way his name was spaced out on the back.
  5. Another unpopular opinion is my love for the Vikings with a white face mask. Wasn't that a one-season deal? I wonder why...The Vikings white masks were around for at least a few years.
  6. ^^I suppose when you put it that way it doesn't seem so far fetched. Especially not when their best case scenario to stay in the Bay seems to be locking themselves into a Jets at Giants Stadium type of situation, and who knows if shovels will actually get into the ground for an LA stadium. San Antonio also has a large Mexican population, which is good for the Raiders since they're one of the two most popular teams in Mexico. Of course, the other is the Cowboys, and they'd be moving into what is currently Cowboys territory. Still, I can't see too many San Antonians keeping their loyalty to Dallas if a team with just as much history and lore were to move into their own backyard.
  7. Not sure I'd call those colors bland. If anything, I wonder why we don't see brown, Vegas gold, and orange together more often (aside from the idiotic "brown = poo" logic). Make it happen, Padres.
  8. This is my favorite post-Lombardi Packers uniform.... only ever used in 1988. Sort-of related, but I also loved the way they stretched Phillip Epps' last name out on the back of his jersey.
  9. For some reason I'll never comprehend that's a popular opinion around here. The most common critique is that the ball-in-glove could stand for any team whose initials happen to be MB. I mean, thank GOODNESS that can't be said about any of baseball's truly iconic logos......
  10. Except that's exactly what you just did. If it were so easy to win championships back then, the Packers wouldn't have been the only team to ever three-peat. I agree that it probably won't ever happen again, but I don't see how that makes it less relevant. Is Cy Young somehow not relevant to a discussion about great pitchers because no one will ever win 500 games again? Nope. I never cared for Brett Favre as a person and had a huge distaste for him before he "retired" the first time... so much so that I bought an Aaron Rodgers jersey during training camp of 2008. In fact, I would say the single worst thing about being a Packers fan is having to deal with the rednecky middle-aged Brett Favre fanboys who act like the Packers weren't around for 70+ years before he was traded to Green Bay. Not sure how unpopular of an opinion that is around here... even those who hate the BiG usually acknowledge that the royal and yellow colors are much better than what they have now.
  11. This or something close to it.
  12. Titletown: home of 13 NFL championships...2 of which have come since 1968.Still 2 more than your Dolphins have won since 1973. And until another team three-peats... which only the Packers have ever done, and they've done it twice... those "40 year old titles" are still relevant.
  13. 40 years ago? I don't think you meant to tack on that extra zero.
  14. So do I. Especially when white is a team color (ie red and white, blue and white, etc.), I think it looks just fine. Pretty much... it works great for the Royals, but for the Tigers it just looks cluttered and unnecessary. See, I guess that's where we disagree. I like it on the tigers, I think it makes the script and numbers stand out. Same with the angels. It works for the Angels because it's consistent with the cap logo. It looks jarring on the Tigers because there's no white on their road caps.

  16. I actually liked this too, and even now, I don't hate that identity as much as a lot of people seem to. That said, I'll concede that the Angels' current identity is damn near perfect and this one would be better suited for a minor league club.
  17. Who would've thought this look would be lightyears better than what they have now. That switch to nike really cost the Seahawks. I'd love to see a remake of these uniforms, and they'd sell like hot-cakes.How is this any different than what Nike always gets criticized for?Neon "volt" color? Check. No real design other than contrasting sleeves? Check. Yet because it's not Nike, it gets a pass? Because this: Looks 10 million times better Than this: I hate the new uniforms, but I can't co-sign to this. It's like saying dog sh~t tastes better than cow sh~t.
  18. The Oilers used those same basic unis for the first 4 years of the Jags' existence, during which they were division rivals; and the Rams and Browns had those same basic looks going all the way back to the 1970s. Not sure that qualifies either for this thread.
  19. That's really not an unpopular opinion around here... we locals just don't care.
  20. I'd say just the opposite... the Raiders are a much bigger part of Oakland's civic identity than the A's; even if the Raiders haven't been so great lately.
  21. Wait... what? Maybe you meant to post the version of the Dolphins unis that came right before the Oilers move to Tennessee, but these uniforms were in circulation together for quite some time.
  22. I will always love that Chargers uni, it was a very beautiful set. And LT pretty much owns that whole look IMO. You know what? Add me to the (growing?) list of people who think this is the best the Chargers have ever looked. I'm not saying they should bring this back though. Much like my gripes with the Brewers, it's clear what Chargers fans prefer, and that's powder blue. Add to it the franchise's beginnings and most successful period with that shade, and it's clear that's what they should be wearing. It'd also help them stand out from the Rams if they move back to the coast.
  23. I really like the pink and orange trim. I never noticed that before. IMO these are the best Heat uniforms. I'm pretty sure that's magenta, which is somewhere in between pink and red.
