  1. I'm happy to see PT back for the Indy 500. I also hope that there is some way that Will Power is able to keep the 12# ride for the rest of the year, from my understanding its still up in the air after Indianapolis. I'm usually a road course fan, but there are ovals that I do like. However, I hope the up coming ovals feature more than Scott Dixon (or Dario or the Penskes) running away from the field, I didn't enjoy this last Kansas race. It became a snoozefest. I'm hoping that Doornbos fares well this season.
  2. I enjoyed the CHL when I lived in Indianapolis. This one's right up the road from me. I'm curious now as to the jersey. I didn't realize Allen was trying to for a CHL team.
  3. I may have to buy one of these, I've always loved the old red helmets and jerseys with the Falcons.
  4. Tell me about it... I attended the USGP as often as I could. When it left, at least there was still the option of Montreal. Now...nothing... They gotta fix that. On the bright side, at least I can plan on going back to the Indy 500 again.
  5. WOW!!! Could you imagine sewing that onto the jersey?!
  6. I'm growing to really like the looks of the Canucks jerseys the more I look at them. I still haven't gotten used to the VANCOUVER over the logo, but that is one jersey set that has really grown on me lately, enough to a point to where I'd like to add one to my collection.
  7. The front wing is far to wide and the rear one is too high up and too narrow. The proportions of them throw off the look of the whole package. The first release shots of the cars look great from overhead, but from the front or 3/4 view they are undeniably hideous. I've heard the description "street sweeper" thrown about and I thought it was pretty accurate. It'll take awhile for me to get used to this look. I've seen bits and pieces of todays race and then watched last week's race. So far its been a pretty entertaining season and doesn't hurt that Toyota has managed to get podiums in both races. Now if only Kimi can start doing better. The car has a "vacuum cleaner" look to it, with that huge wing out front of the wheels. I'm glad to see Ferarri out of the points again, and Hamilton only with 1 point. I love parody, and this season seems to be providing it. Too bad the race had to stopped, but racing in a tropical storm doesn't make sense. As much as I like Kimi, it is fun to watch mighty Ferrari out of the points. I'm hoping that BMW can pick up another win soon.
  8. Looks great. Nice pickup and solid job on it.
  9. That does look good. I've been curious about doing something like that for awhile, but was afraid to. I attempted it once with a D-Backs Sexson jersey but found that it left a lot of purple residue where I had attempted it. Now I'm sorry I sold my Astros Pettitte jersey. Can you even tell there was anything on there at all after the washing? It doesn't look like it from the last picture.
  10. I'm bummed to hear this news as well. I went to a couple of Sea Wolves games while stationed at Keesler AFB. Even bought their jersey to add to my collection and won their Kelly Cup Champs shirt at my old HS a few years back. What a bummer.

  12. MLB - Hamilton. I got a chance to watch him take BP in Spring Training last year and it was a joy to watch. Hit after hit after hit. NFL - Manning. I'm a Colts fan, so obviously I'm biased here. However, just watching him play live is awesome, he's got a heckuva throw and I'm going to miss seeing him connect with Marvin Harrison. Honorable Mention, Larry Fitzgerald...he's a beast. NBA - I always enjoyed Reggie Miller. Once he got in his three point spot, it seemed like his shots were a sure a thing. NHL - Ovechkin, I got to see "the goal" he scored on his back in Phoenix in January of 2006. I love his enthusiasm. Honorable Mention, Scott Niedermayer. I love his skating ability. I also enjoyed Mario Lemieux. Racing: NASCAR, I would say Tony Stewart. I've seen three Cup races and he always sticks out to me. The PIR race I was able to see live, he started at the back of the field and slowly and steadily kept moving up through the field. I saw the 02 BY 400 where he was about the only car other than Dale Jarrett that was able to challenge Bill Elliott that day. F1, Michael Schumacher by far. There was something about that bright red Ferrari and Schuey's driving ability that was a joy to watch. His car control was amazing and he always seemed so cool and collected behind the wheel. Whenever he was on the track, I always had to keep my eyes on his car. That and during the USGP, once he got away from the field, he was gone. Three of the four USGP's I went to, he won.
  13. Can't wait to see that Oilers uni in action. I'll echo that sentiment. I like the looks of Oilers. I particularly like that Oilers helmet.
  14. Not a fan of this at all. I never understood why they didn't do the points something like this, 12-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. However, if makes the racing interesting, then its worth a shot. I have loved how the last two championships have gone to the wire. My personal favorite being 2007, when Kimi won the title.
  15. I need to find some of these stores down here in the Dallas area. The Marshall's across the road from my neighborhood only has white Roy Williams 31# jerseys in stock. When I lived in Indianapolis, Value City was an awesome store to find all kinds of deals.
