  1. It's a very valid point to say we are simply updating pre existing logos which are property of their respective schools. However, these updates breath new life into those vintage marks which some would never think possible given the bad quality of the some of the original & sometimes only available image. With that being said, every image posted online always runs the risk of being used by someone out there for their own personal gain & I'm fully aware of that possibility. I'm sure if I spent countless hours online looking for more of my work being used I would probably find others but I just don't have the time or desire to do so and that's just on the internet. Imagine how many others are using our work right now but we will probably never know it because it can be a small town high school, elementary, etc. As a matter a fact I can tell you of one instance...We took a trip to San Antonio & went to Fiesta Texas. That day there was lots of schools there doing there summer trips, so they all wear their school spirit shirts. Guess what I saw? My Meridian CC Eagles logo I did for my other thread & that's an original logo of mine. I looked at my wife & I said "that's my logo on those kids tees" She was like..you did that for them? & I said nope. Her eyes opened up & she says..."they stole it" I just shrugged my shoulders & said looks that way. Then just went about our business. Like I said, it's impossible to police every single piece of artwork you post. All we can do is stamp our mark on it but again, If you post it...they will come & eventually one will take it. Some will tweak it a little & assume it's ok while others will just use it as is & call it a day. Bottom line is I don't lose sleep over the work I post online. I know the risk is there & very high but sometimes the reward is much greater. So...Yes, these logos are updates of someone elses artwork but the way I see it. If school's such as Eastern Illinois & Mott College are willing to purchase MY version of THEIR logos then others wanting to use my work for a profit should to. That's just my 2 cents, lol.
  2. Thnx for the heads up Htown! I'll look to see what can be done. Pretty tuff to combat these things when so much artwork is out there for the picking for these guys. Looked on his page & also found hettinger_rl wolverine concept being sold as a sticker by someone else.
  3. I believe so, just not sure what page it's on since it isn't on the index.
  4. Great update on that Detroit Tigers logo Zion! @Paul Lucas that Chicago White Sox logo has been done & can be found here There's an index on the OP with most of the logo's done here minus the newer one's.
  5. I don't mind at all. Part of the reason this thread has gone on for so long is because of contributions like this by you & other artists on these boards. Thank you & if you decide to restore/update any other Vintage logos or even tackle some of the many requests from this one feel free to post em here. Great update by the way!
  6. It is the Canada flag, I just didn't add the maple leaf in the center since the logo itself has a huge one on it. Also at a small scale it would simply look like a red dot. Not all the logos here were done by me so you would need to be more specific on which ones you're referring to. You can PM or email me in regards to fees for my work. Thank you.
  7. Worked this one up earlier today, I know It's not really a vintage logo but It is an update non the less so I decided to add it here. Hope you guys like it.
  8. Thanks ec5. I've never put much thought into making a tutorial video. I did however make a couple of videos showing how I go about doing my design work, those can be found on the first page and viewed by clicking on their links.
  9. My bad, thought I had corrected that. It's fixed now thanks for the heads up though.
  10. Good eye hettinger. I couldn't get a clear image of the sweater & have been pretty busy to even take the time to examine the design, thanks! As for getting your work noticed just keep at it. I've emailed & tried making contact with countless universities in regards to my redesign work with little to no response. The funny thing about EIU is that they found me. I never sent them my Billy Panther restoration design nor did I ever try contacting them. Sometimes all we need is a little bit of luck & for our work to be seen by the right people at the right time. Good luck!
  11. You know...I filled so many requests on this thread that I'm not sure if the person who requested that logo restoration is the one selling these & is under the impression that since he/she requested it they can use it or just someone random who found it online & thought OH LOOK our school logo all cleaned up, lets use it without asking & make some sweatshirts to sell for $20 a piece. Also if you didn't read the comments one says this: Hey guys, due to a few copyright complications, we had to remove the word University. Please let us know if you want to change your order at all. smile emoticon
  12. So I got a message today about one of my restorations being used for a profit. https://www.facebook.com/DDAYS-2015-Vintage-Crewnecks-1644154992510161/timeline/?ref=page_internal
  13. Thank you much Whittier! Very true about our concepts/updates/redesigns/etc. on here actually becoming more than just us posting them here. Just gotta keep doing what we love doing & eventually someone notices. Think I'll have 2 cookies! lol
  14. Thanks SeattleSonics, & YES it's an awesome feeling...now if only more universities will follow as well, lol. Your work is outstanding and they would be smart to update their logos with your versions. Thank you for the kind words CreamSoda. Would be nice to see more universities make my restorations part of their official marks.
  15. Thanks SeattleSonics, & YES it's an awesome feeling...now if only more universities will follow as well, lol.
  16. Appreciate it Sparky! Thanks LogoMark, I just did a clean up job for that one & that's how the original looks.
